My 4 year old daughter will not leave her youngest sister alone she is 3 months old. Know my 4 year old just will not leave her alone as many times as I tell her, move her away, give her time outs she won't stop I even give her times during the day that she gets to hold or touch the baby with my supervision and even after that she won't stop. can anyone give me any suggestions on how to deal with this I have 4 kids and out of the 3 oldest ones she is the one who just will not stop bugging the baby biggest deal is she will doit when the baby is awake and when the baby is sleeping. I have tried putting her in my room in her crib and my 4 year old will go in and bug her grrrrrrrrrrrr. claire

ALmost everybody goes through that. ABout the best you can do is what you have already done. Your daughter thinks that she is trying to be helpful. At that age, a baby is exciting to them, ans they always want to be with the baby, and they want to help. They don't understand that babies need to sleep. You arent the only person that has that problem. My sister has a 3 year old and a 2 month old. She has the exact samae problem as you right now.

I think you need to give your 4 year old more one on one attention particularly when the baby is in the room. Show her that she gets more attention from you if she is playing nicely on her own withyou than if she is playing with the baby. It is probably only a way to get attention from you.
