To wait or not to wait

I prefer to wait. If I give my best response fast, then in couple of days someone will give a perfect answer. Unfortunately, I have my decision made already. What do you think, perhaps myLot should add an opportunity to give three best responses, like three medals in a sport competition?

you know?you're right,will have toi wait when there's atleast 15 or 20 responses if you dont reach that number ,just give the best response after 2 days

You must not wait for a few days to mark best response, if you wait, mylot will mark it as user not selected the best response. I guess mylot will give us time until our discussions have enough comments to select the best response.

I wait a few days unless I am recieving over 50 comments or so. Then I choose a best response so I dont have to reread all of them to choose one. I always read every comment but reading them more than once is hard when you get over 100.

Yeah I feel you need to wait for atleast 3 days and then select the best out of it. Actually I am new to mylot, I started many discussions, but I am getting only single response for each of it. After that I have not started any discussion, I am just responding. Even after that do you think I need to select that single response as the best??. Do you think I need to keep starting the discussion irrespective of the responses??

i totally agree... i always wait about 3 weeks to give a best response for my discussions so to give enough people the chance to post a response... if it is an urgent matter as i feel some are ive noticed people post best response quite quickly but if they are just a discussion topic then i agree that you should wait a while otherwise people are not so likely to reply if there is already a best response

Ya I agree with you that one must wait atleast for few days..as this would invite more users to respond as "best response" tag is yet not given away & in a way helps you to actually choose the best one out of many responses that you recieved..:)

good idea. i think one should wait for 3-4 weeks before rating the best response. that way people responding genuinely will increase and those who do to increase their response will decrease. its we who can make this place better.
