banks charge too much

I am so sick of the fees that banks charge. Even when you find one that says "free checking" they find a way to charge for something. I know they are supposed to make money but don't they do that with loans? Why do they have to take money from me when I am on a fixed income. Even $5 is a lot for me. I need my money. The bigger the banks get the less they care!!

That is an absolutely valid point. There are hundreds of free checkings accounts out there, just read the "Terms and Conditions" or fee structure carefully. If you are looking for a good place for a savings account, email me at bjone6@gmail.com. ING Direct is one of the most popular high yield savings accounts. If you put $250 or more, with my offer, you get $25 and I get $10.

In the UK there is a big revolt going on against bank charges. People have been charged silly high amounts if they've gone overdrawn but they are now fighting and getting refunds on those. The consumers are fighting back!

Just wait till you go 1 cent overdrawn. Then its a $20-$35 overdraft fee and an additional $5-$25 for every day your overdrawn and by the time your notified its been several days. Then your next paycheck just goes into catching up. They love to do that. Never mind the fact that while their holding your money they have it invested and are earning on it. You went overdrawn... Their evil I tell you , EVIL!

Yes, I agree. Far too many banks are bleeding consumers dry.. we are paying too much unnecessary fees when they are already making millions and billions...

yea, I love "free" checking. The ATM fees, the using another bank fees, the monthly fees, the if you call and talk to a live human being fees. I am at a prtty decent bank now, they only charge the other ATM fees..the $1.50 the ATM provider charges. If I take money out at their ATM I have no charges at all. Problem is, it's local to my area, so it's really of no help to you...sorry.
