Are you often distracted by the internet?

Say you're trying to work or do homework or write up a term paper or clean up the house. Are you often distracted by the internet? Say you walk by your internet and you get this itching feeling to check up something. When you sit down to check up something, you end up spending an hour on the internet. Either that or you try to do homework but can't really concentrate with the computer screen in front of you. And end up spending three hours on a paper that could be done in thirty minutes. Does that often happen to you?

Absolutely. Sadly that seems to happen to me all the time these days. Truth be told me being here right this second is exactly that. One minute I'm working on a university assignment due this week, and the next I'm fidling around on the net. Unfortunately, doing a computer science degree doesn't help in the slightest as I'm constantly required to be at my PC for uni. Oh well, should be back to doing some study...

Oh yes - all the time. The worst is when I'm using the computer and *should* be typing up the newsletter or something for church...I just can't help popping open another window to see if I have a new email, what's going on here at MyLot, etc. I could get my work done so much more quickly if the internet wasn't such a temptation!

That ALWAYS happen to me and I always want to fix this horrible habit but I never get around to actually fixing it.

Yes, quite often when I'm doing research on the internet I find myself distracted by random sites that have nothing to do with my assignment. I then forget about my assignment until later on and then realise I wasted a few hours.

nope, I view it as a serious part time job
25 cents a day or so
I have nothing else to do anyway
If I could afford to move to my land, I would do something useful instead
