What does everyone think about school vouchers? It was the trademark of the famous economist, Milton Friedman. Go to wikipedia and read about school vouchers. I think it would add a capitalist approach to public schools. Some people say it would hurt low income people; however, I think it would help them out. What do you think?

Kind oflike what happenedin the 60's and 70's dubefore integration where the best schools got the best books and teachers, and the poorer, all black schools got no new books and the worst teachers available. it didn't work then, and it won't work now. All it will do is create another educational elite. Everybody should be eligable for equal education right up to university level

No, school vouchers are the opposite. School vouchers are only for the poor. Schools will have to take the normal zoning kids in PUBLIC SCHOOLS. Then people who fall into lower income levels will be able to use their own school vouchers to choose what school they want to go to. It puts the power into the people's hands and out of the schools. Go to wikipedia and read about Milton Friedman's school voucher program.

If the vouchers were given to all students then the schools would all have the same amount of money to work with per student. The responsiblity for education woudl change form the school being responsible to the parents being responsible and if the child is having problems the parents need to followup and get involved.
If you don't like the school you would be free and now have the means to change schools.
