Absolutely not! I love talking and i dont think i could last even a half hour without doing so. Id probably go crazy or something. If theres no one else around to talk to, id probably start talking to myself:)

Me? Be quiet for 24 hours? I had a broken jaw when I was in third grade. I couldn't talk much. Mom has told me quite frequently, when they took the braces and rubber bands off my mouth, I never shut up! Heck, I even talk in my sleep!

I can be quiet for 24 hours, if am all alone and with nobody around. But I got a toddler so it is like every minute, I have to talk and answer questions. It would be nice to just be silent for a whole day, meditate and get to know your inner self.

I really don't think that I could. I love to talk and if I go even a couple of hours without talking to someone I get lonely and end up calling someone or going to the store. I don't see a point in going that long without speaking.

I find that very hard to do. I don't think that I have ever even came that close. I think that the best I can do is while I'm sleeping, and I'm not even sure about that. I have been told that I talk in my sleep once in a while.

That would be impossible for me to do. I love to talk and my children and grandchildren tell me I talk to much. I kissed the Blarney Stone some years back while I was on holidays so I guess this is where I got the gift of the gab...lol.

I probably COULD. But I live with 4 dogs, and I think it would be nearly impossible to not give them a command or two for an entire day. And my husband doenst like it when I give him the silent treatment!!

That would be hard for me to do because i have a hubby and son who always demand my attention. If they were not around, I could possibly do it but then again when i am alone sometimes I talk to myself LOL!!!

I don't think I can do that. I would go crazy if I don't utter a word in 24 hours. Furthermore, I only sleep for about the most 6 hours a day and I have the rest of the 18 hours to say something and normally I do. What a question but I like to answer it anyway :)

well...lol...i can if i want...but i hate when i am with a group of people & their is quiet...no conversation...so i will bring up a topic & start a conversation just to get the conversation started...but i will rest my voice when i have to sing in church so it don't sound strain...

a great personality said some words and i was very impressed by that these are "think that you have nothing to do, nowhere to go, just be quit and see the world in front of you, it will make you smile becouse this world is like a drama and every person is like a its artist who play a particular role.." . but an ordinary person can't do this and i m a ordinary person so i can't be quit for 24 hours....

For me, it's probably impossible. I mean, even when I am by myself in the house I am dancing around, singing at the top of my lungs. Or even thinking aloud. It's not possible. With my wife and I, we are constantly talking about our days, our plans... it's wouldn't work for me.

I find it hard to be quiet for an hour let alone a whole day. I think if I didn't see anyone for that time I wouldn't be able to talk so I could keep quiet.

Not usually! However I had to, at one point in my life. Not by choice, mind you! I had laryngitis for 3 months! Talk about torture! Haven't stopped for longer than 8-9 hours at a time since then. lol

Silence - Is this like the international sign for hush it up? Are there any persons who do not understand what is meant when someone puts their finger to their lips like this?
I have a difficult enough time trying to be silent for 3 hours on Good Friday, with a family to tend to I do not think I could keep complete silence for 24 full hours. Actually, even if my family was elsewhere I would probably talk to the animals and if they were not around, I'd talk to myself!

I never have, but I'm sure I could - if the opportunity (no husband, no child) presented itself. In fact, I would rather enjoy it!
