Biotechnology means any technological application that uses biological systems, living organisms, or derivatives thereof, to make or modify products or processes for specific use. Biological technology is technology based on biology, especially when used in agriculture, food science, and medicine. The United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity has come up with one of many definitions of biotechnology.

biotechnology is a branch of having a lot of future.in the developing countries like india it has to develope a lot.this branch and the subject of this branch is a mixture.in this we will find technology,theoritical biology,mathematics ,computer science,chemistry and stat.i mean its a biological program using the technology and mathematical functions.its a complex branch.the subjects will be like as fermentation design,bioinformatics,bio analytical techniques, chemical engineering.its a very good branch whih has to find and which has to see lot of achievements in the human life.i think its a life sciences project. in india so many multi national companies have started the life sciences projecte based on the biotechnology.
