Here in PA, we're gearing up for camping season! It's right around the corner and I'm getting excited! We tent camp over the 4th of July every year, but we also have part ownership in two camps. One is a camping trailer that we share with my hubby's family. The other is a hunting camp that we share with my family. So we always have some place to go camping! We mostly camp in Northwestern Pennsylvania. Where do you camp?

Where in NW PA do you camp? I used to live in and around Meadville PA a good bit of my life. We did a fair amount of camping when i was a kid. We had a scotty trailer for many years.

Our camper is outside of Titusville and the camp is in Clearfield County. We go to Ohiopyle for the 4th of July every year to go white water rafting.

I've camped all over the US! Mostly in Colorado, Utah, and now New Mexico. It's a great experience. I'm excited that the weather is now getting warmer. I have all of this new camping gear just waiting to be used...

We've done lots of tent camping in the White Mountains in New Hampshire. We picked up & rehabbed a camper trailer two years back, and have taken that to Maine, down to Cape Cod, out to Western Mass and I'd like to take it to South Carolina this summer to visit family there. Just not sure if my car is up for hauling it that far, we're in Massachusetts.

I camp in the Southwestern part of New York so where pretty close to each other. I didn't get to go too much last year, but I plan on making up for it this year.

We camp sometimes, but it has been a long time. We usually go up north to the penninsula, so we have to wait a while longer. This last wend. we just got dumped with almost 10 inches of snow. It's still here. .Middle of April. So not thinking about camping yet here in Michigan.

Camping is a big thing in West Virginina too. We go tent camping but not over the 4th. It seems that is always rains over the 4th of July here. It is no fun camping in the rain.

When I was a child we went tent camping for years during the summer months..I can remember our first trailer was a reliart or something like that.. I sleeped in the cubby hole since I was so small.. Then we got a starcraft.. Used that to go all over the US and Canada.. Then we got a Volkwagon camper... We stopped camping back in the early 70's.. I was the last one home.. My last two trips was Mexico and Williamburg Va area.. Ive been in almost the 50 states growing up.. I had learned more about our country when we camped and sightsee different attractions then I did in school.. I got to see the Liberty Bell.. Gettysburg, Mt Rushmore.. Washington DC, The Badlands, Battlegrounds where some of the wars broke out.. Some of the Presidents homes.. Mt McKinley in Alaska, The Artic Ocean in Alaska.. The Bay of Funday in N.S. Since I had married we go to the Smokies in NC and to Philly, Pa where his children lived.. We stayed at the KOA campgrounds... We camped for our honeymoon.. and had a great time.. Glad summer is coming and start to camp again. Havent in the last few years do to illness.. But I am ready this summer...

My in-laws own 20 acres of land not far from where we live. There, they put a camper/trailer on it. It doesn't move, that is the permanent campsite. We will camp out there a few times in the summer, taking our turns with the in-laws, of course. We also have a tent that we set up in the backyard for the kids, or take out to the land, where the kids play when we're camping out there. It's so much fun to be in the outdoors!!! "the land" is really nice because there isn't anyone else around. Just lots of trees and wildlife. We've seen deer licking the children's swings early in the morning while out there. I just can't wait for it to warm up!!

Last September we camped at Mohican state park, about an hour north of Columbus, Ohio. They have a website you can check out. It was great. There were many places around where you could rent a canoe and travel along the Mohican river, which we did. We only stayed for two nights, but I would like to go there again, as there was a lot of things we would have liked to do but had no time.

My camping for this Summer is going to Santa Cruz islands in CA. I live here in San Diego but have never been to Santa Cruz so it should be fun. I am going with my scout troop and we will be snorkeling and kayaking.

We're looking forward to another camping season here in PA also. We tent camp every summer, we spend most weekends at our favorite campground, nothing fancy, but there is a pool and a pond for fishing, and out dog loves it when she sees us getting the tents and gear out, as she always goes along. And this year my youngest daughter from Texas will be joining us, can't wait.
