Did you know that there are actually 39 ingrediants in a Twinkie? Did you know it takes about 45 seconds for a Twinkie to explode in a microwave? This one I've tried. LOL. What a mess to clean up. Anyhow here are 2 links that are great. One is a site where various tests including a radiation test. Even some recipes. Enjoy this wackiness of Twinkies. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB THE TWINKIE LOVER !! http://twinkies.com/twinkies.asp http://twinkiesproject.com/

Here is a recipe for icing or filling in case you want it. My mother inlaw uses it for cake icing. 1/4 pound uncoloured margarine 1/2 cup Crisco shortening 1 cup sugar 3/4 c evaporated milk 1 teaspoon vanilla Put all in a deep bowl and beat with electric mixer for 8-10 minutes., till fluffy and no trace of grittiness remains. Test by rubbing some of the mixture between thumb and finger. I have used this recipe in a jelly roll, along with a thin layer of raspberry jam. Delicious. It is excellent for writing messages on cakes, and it freezes very well.

Ummm 39 ingrediants, well that tells me they forgot to take the calories out before packaging. Grandpa Bob you really did have too much time on your hands the day you discovered a twinkie would blow up in 45 seconds. Yes what a mess that must have been, but nowhere does it say Grandma Deb had the mess to clean so that was good to NOT hear. As usual you did it again we all had a good laugh...

Yummy, it's twinkies! That was such a high school addiction for me. I've stayed away from those golden delicious snacks. Although, if I come across a fried twinkie I will give it a try. I've heard of some places that fry up thier twinkies but ggod for me, I'm not near one. Happy twinkie eating!

It worked for others. Hmmm? Maybe they're banned in your country. Its a white log shaped bakery cake with white cream filling. Tasty treats here for many years in the States.

I'm sure half of the ingredients are some form of sugar and the other half you can't pronounce.

Hi Grandpa Bob, I did not know that twinkies explode. They are a cake what makes them explode? Well if twinkies have 39 ingrediants that is probably why they are soooooo good.
