Exotic Pets

Does anyone or has anyone ever had an exotic pet like a llama, emu, monkey, tiger even? I've always wanted a pet llama, and maybe someday I'll be able to. I'd like to hear stories of exotic animals as pets.

I had a raccoon when I was young and it made an excellent pet until it grew up.
It was a male and they tend to get very vicious at mating season.
They are super intelligent though so they are hard to keep in the house. They are able to climb and open anything. The first 30 minutes he was in side he figured out how to open the kithen cabinets and was head first into a box of cereal.

I've heard that racoons are intelligent. I didn't realize they were that intelligent though

I have had a variety of animals os "pets", including gophers, coyotes, snakes (including rattle snakes) Owls and even an antelope. This was when I was young and lived in Texas.
