How about a walking/exercise group?

I have decided I am going to walk everyday for my exercise. I wonder if anyone on myLot would care to "join" me? I will report each day: 1. whether I walked or got too lazy. 2: how long I walked. 3. What time I walked. If you wnat to be a part of the group, you could do the same We could use this thread. I don't think this idea violates any guidelines, but if it does, let me know.
I just thought it might help keep me motivated if I had to report to someone. Anyone care to join me? I promise I will respond to you and be a cheerleader or nagger...whichever you need or want. I hope you will do the same for me.

Count me in. I am in desperate need of encouragment and companionship when it comes to walking. Yes, I think there are times when we all need a combo cheerleader/nagger, lol. So, we are walking tomorrow...right???

Yes. Tomorrow is now today. I walked for 15 minutes, about 3/4 of a mile. Your turn!

Hi its me Toya. I went jogging today about 15 mins I'm the same as you I get bored easily exercising on my own + I need motivation BADLY!! so I'm going to try and keep reporting back to you all. But I do quite a lot of walking anyway so I'm going to do different exercise. Come on you can do it, it's great for the figure!! aswell and we're all in this together Write back and let us know how you got on - how about a walkman while you're walking it can help forget the time?

Hi So everyone what's happenin? No news today is it a holiday where you are today? It's Mothers Day here today I went again today (3/18) rollerblading this time for ages..for about 15 minutes continuous and then I did some exercises for going backwards which I'm having trouble doing. Get in touch tomorrow ..I had to really push myself to go today but once I started rollerblading it was great

I dont do well in a "group-setting", think it is the amout of people that are involved.,he,he, so you have to walk by yourself. What will you do when not walking, crawl?

Aw, come on, Jesse, walk with me. It will do you good! I just walked 15 minutes today. That's all I could manage! Hope you join me, but if not, I'll take your cheerleading!

good exercise for any age. walk walk and walk, the best exercise to keep fit. do mention your weight, how much you lost after starting this exercise.

Hi Im Toya Count me in..I dont want to do walking as I do a lot of walking every day anyway but Id like to do some exercise jogging, walking and stretching every day in the park - now its spring or even at home and Im really not feeling motivated - i would write back with times and how long i exercised for i think itd be great for encouragement...write back and let me know when we start..!!!

Hi it's Toya Ok did you get a walkman, maybe walk with a purpose of going somewhere like the shops or something then it wouldnt seem so much like exercise What did i do yesterday (3/19) I went joggin again in the rain!!! It was sooooo cold (and yesterday everybody was thinking about sunbathing here) and did some stretching at home..I think I must be going mad all this exercise and training but Im feeling more energetic even after just these few days Come on suzieq you can do it You know what they say never mind if you miss a day you can get back to it tomorrow

I'm still floundering. Walked yesterday, but not today. I forgot again! Can't believe you walked in the cold and rain. Those are such good excuses not too. Good job!

Walking is the only exercise I really get. My wife is always asking me on Sundays to take a walk. Last weekend was rough. It was warm and everything melting. Not good for a walk. She got irritated. So I called her to the living room. As she neared me I grabbed her hand & we walked into the kitchen. I kissed her asking, "How was the walk today hun?" LOL. But I get enough walking with my dog daily etc. Thanks and I'll be checking up on your walking. Hee hee!

Hi It's Toya I did some home aerobics today as I was out all day and did a lot of walking I live in london a big city and use the tube/subway and transport a lot So I did some aerobics at home 15 mins and stretching and other exercises 10 mins About the exercise maybe only 2 or 3 times a week is ok to begin with you don't want to push it too much Some say it's better and you get fitter quicker. Have you tried yoga style exercising It's very good for body conditioning and relaxation there are some great beginner dvds.

Hi Oh well never mind if you miss a day. I hope the weather is better tomorrow where you are. I went this morning again (3/17), jogging for 15mins and some other exercises for 5 mins and stretching for 5 mins but really I feel so unfit I'm in pain from the stiffness!!! Will report back again tomorrow

Hi Its Toya Admin deleted the response under my name so Im just reposting my response here for you. Okay I went jogging today (3/16) in the morning for 15 mins and did some stretching for 5 mins. I feel refreshed and ready for the day. Will report back tomorrow. I think this is a great idea I hope we all manage to stick to it
