My husband and I are just starting the process of looking for a bigger vehicle. We'd like to buy a used minivan or SUV. We need something that is a 7 passenger vehicle. What kind of vehicle do you drive and what are the pros and cons of it?

Before my second child was born we went suv hunting too. We bought a Ford Explorer. It was used, but in great shape. It has a fold down third row seat. You can use the seat when needed or fold it down for extra storage space. The one we got has curtain airbags. That is the ones that come down from above the windows in the rear passenger seats. I am short. The driver seat also moves up and down as well as back and forth. That makes it easier for me to see over the steering wheel. Iy also has the climate controls over head that control the back seats. All we bought for it was a set of portable dvd players. Ours also has four wheel drive. That way you don't have to worry about it starting to snow while running errands. We really like ours.

My Van - Town and Country - Chrysler Town and Country
I have had my Chrysler Town and Country for a year now. It has the stow 'n' go seats. I love it!!! I have seats for 7 (could have eight if we had chose the middle row bench seat vs the 2 bucket seats that we have). I can only haul 6 people since I have 4 car seats in it (I run an in-home daycare - so I have them in there "just in case"). I don't know what I did without it. The stow 'n' go seats are wonderful! You never have to remember to take out or put back in the seats. You can fold them into the floor whenever you need esxtra hauling room - then pop them back up when you need the seats again. Please let me know if you have any questions!
