I have a huge collection of baseball, basketball and football cards. I am getting ready to start liquidating most of it on Ebay to make room in my house. I have never sold on ebay before so I was wondering, I have seen a lot of posting like "My Alimony" or "My Ex-Husbands collections of ....". Do you think that things sell better on Ebay if there is a story attached to them? Do you pay more attention to auction if it entertains you before place your bid? Any advise will be appreicated.
Thank you

I would just stick with the card. I personally don't care if it's a bitter ex spouse seling off items. Make sure to give all the information about the card. (Grad, condition facts on the card etc..) Offer to combine shipping, stand behind your items. You should have no problems. Good luck!

Try to make your auctions eye-catching. Take clear photographs and put in as much detail as you can on the auction site. People are more likely to look at your items if they can see a good picture and read a properly detailed description. Remember that the collectors are out there waiting to buy, so try to list your items in the correct category and then just wait for the bids to come rolling in.
