Have you ever stopped to help a stranger?

Yes, I try to help people when I can. Sometimes it rebounds on you though. Some years ago I saw an old man being harrassed by two young guys in the local High Street. I tried to help him, but the guys turned on me and threw me through the plate glass window of a store! So much for that good deed!

Sure. I have helped the elderly get their bins back from their curbs, look after a local drunk on occassion (we still aren't on a first name basis, either), redirected little kids back to their parents, helped people catch their dogs, that sort of thing. I am lucky that I live in a small town where NOT helping is considered a bit strange.

i also have few times. most of those are just picking up stuff that fell and giving it back to the person who owns it.
