My two year old still plays with a few of his baby toys. They still interest him and a lot of them are the type that stimulate their minds (Baby Einstein, Tiny Love)Plus they are cute and they were expensive so might as well let him keep playing and get my moneys worth!

My youngest two are only roughly 19 months apart so the older one hadn't really grown out of his baby toys yet when the new baby was born. He didn't play with them much anymore but we hadn't taken them away either. Now that "baby brother" is here and has a few new toys of his own, "little big brother" has been playing with all of them quite a lot. Of course "big brother's" 4 year old toys are pretty fun too.
By the way these are their actual designations, with 5 boys the usual big brother/little brother titles don't work very well anymore so we have to use baby brother, little big brother, big brother, bigger brother and biggest brother...thank goodness there are only three girls.

My just turned 2 year old still has and plays with a few of his baby toys. He's held onto a rattle, and several other chew toys. I keep them because he still wants them and plays with them.

My son plays with baby toys, but he only likes to smash them. Since I am expecting another child in a couple of months, I had to put the toys away before he destroyed them all! My 4 year old niece also plays with these toys, and also tries to destroy them. My son had a bag of his toys at her house that my in-laws didnĀ“t return for the longest time and when they did, everything was painted blue or broken!

I run a day care in my home and find that the toddlers are always trying to play with the baby toys. The love the keys and little rattles. I don't think it is a big if they like to play with them.

DS is 15 months and still plays with a lot of the toys he had when he was little. He does different things with them now. He has play food, and he used to just carry them around, now he'll put them together in a bowl or try to feed them to his stuffed animals.

My son might pick up a few to play with once in a while, but ive only held on to things he really loves. Such as a piano that rocks, its for kids under age 1, and hes nearly 3 and now knows the words to the nursery rhymes, but he loves it, so i cant get rid of it. He had very few toys as a baby so its not difficult really. Whenever he forgets about a toy i get rid of it. Keep few on hand.
