$3.00 ouch! We did have prices over $3 a gallon last year. I know it was higher in California. California seems to be a very expensive state to live in.

Yes!! My gas heating bill was $423.00. I had to check to make sure they received my payment for the previous month, I thought maybe the $423 was a bill for 2 months...NOPE! I can't believe how much it is.

I am in northern wisconsin and our gas is #2.59 per gallo for unleaded. It has been periodically going up in price. I think it's crazy!!! It used to go up because there was a holiday coming soon (memorial day, labor day, 4th of july, etc...) now it just goes up whenever it feels like it.

$2.59 is high, I'm sure we will all be there soon. It just seems to keep going up and up. We don't have much choice but to buy it.

Here where I live in Illinois it is 2.499 It is exspensive, I think it will continue to rise cause it is getting warmer and people will be out more then they were during the winter months like it was last spring summer and fall. I sure wish that they would not do this, it makes it so hard for people that have a hard enough time making ends meet now.

I agree completely! It is hard enough making ends meet these days, trying to keep up with the rising gas prices makes it even harder.

That' strange that it went down. I bet it won't be long and they will bring it back up again!

Wow, I wish it was $2.37 a gallon here. The cheapest I've seen for the last 4 or 5 days is $2.59. This is getting out of hand, and we're still at least 2 months away from the start of the busy summer travel season. I heard a news story the other night that said experts have predicted that over the next 3 years gas prices will go up by about $.50 each year. That means we'll be looking at $4.50 a gallon and probably up to around $6.00 a gallon in places like California. Crazy!

I wonder what people will do if the gas prices reach $4.50 a gallon. People still need to get to work, to the supermarket, etc. It's gonna really hurt.

After if got up to almost $4 a gallon earlier this year, I'm very happy to say that I'm finally starting to see the prices go down. Yesterday we were actually able to buy gas for only $1.79 a gallon. I can't tell you what a relief this has been. ![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

Yes it's going up here, and it's not even summer yet. When are we going to get affordable alternative fuels?

It would be nice to have an alternative that we can all afford.
