Here are some of my favorite movies that had sequels or trilogies. They are Spiderman, XMen, Lord of the Rings, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, American Pie, and Star Wars. There are some sequels coming out this summer that I will definitely watch like Spiderman 3, Fantastic Four and the sequel to Bruce Almighty. I am sure there are some other movies that I like that had sequels too but can not think of the other ones right now.

I agree on "Evan Almighty." I'm looking forward to seeing Steve Carell handle that film. I would also put "American Pie" films in the guilty pleasure category along with the "Spiderman" films.

My favorite trilogy is the original Star Wars Trilogy. I felt that the whole series was mind blowing. Then coming to the newer releases, I think LOTR is another trilogy I liked. I like the Harry Potter series except for the last edition. Coming to Indian movies, the most favorite sequel for me "Lage Rahe Munna Bhai" which was a step better than the original "Munna Bhai MBBS". This is a very rare act in India that a sequel is better than the original. In animated movies I simply loved both the Shrek movies as well as both the ICE Age movies. Cheers! Ram

Let's see...I enjoyed the first "Star Wars" (actually 4 in the series, but really only found 2 out of the 6 films genuinely enjoyable. I have a tolerance for two others. I loved the "Three Colors" series of films, preferring "Red" over "White and "Blue." I loved "Dogville," a film that's part of a trilogy from Lars Von Trier. Of the films you mentioned, I suppose the "Deuce Bigalow" films are a guilty pleasure, though certainly not well done films. I will admit they're fun to watch. I modestly enjoyed "Ocean's 11". I do enjoy the "Back to the Future" films and I have a healthy respect for the LOTR films (though I consider them overrated). I enjoyed the first "Halloween" and the first "Texas Chainsaw Massacre," but not really the sequels.

Haven't seen most of the first movies you've mentioned, so I guess I have to look up for it on video stores!;) I am not also used of watching horror film sequels, just like that 'Blair Witch Project' sequel thing. But I think the first one did good, I guess!;)

My favorite movie is Harry Potter. It is not a trilogy though because it hasn't ended yet. I am definitely going to watch for the next movie. Lord of the Rings is also ok.

I usually can't stand sequels. The only one I really liked was Meet the Fockers. I thought it was better than Meet the Parents.

Back to the Future all the way is my favorite!!!! I love every one, the first and second are the best, but the third is still awesome and I love how they all are linked together and refer to things from the other movies. The Mummy 1&2 were also both really good - loved the special effects. The Bourne Identity and 2 movies after it were also pretty good. I know some guys who love those movies, I just think they are good. Oceans 11 and Twelve and soon 13 :) I can't wait to see the newest one! Shrek 1, 2 and soon 3!! I can't wait for that either Spiderman 1, 2 and soon 3, yes there are a lot of sequels I can't wait to see :) Oh, and I almost forgot my absolute fav! Pirates of the Caribeen is the best :) I love sequels and trilogies b/c of how they expand on the previous movies, and bring back your fav characters.

Finally! There's someone who shares my own taste!;) I love back to the future, and yes, they did great in linking things altogether. The Bourne series, I haven't read yet on the book. But I think there's a third part on it, I'm also expecting that Jason Bourne will get back on the big screen!;)

there were three books in the Bourne series and all three have been made to film now......I love reading Robert Ludlum and I have to give credit to the movies in that they followed the books pretty closely.

I like all the movies mentioned and can add a few like the Miss Congeniality pair, the Under Siege pair, and the Shrek movies...even though animated they are cute. Dr Dolittle pair and Beverly HClls cop series deserve a mention as well. Then there is the Beethoven movies and the Star Trek movies. Don't forget the Look Who's Talking series too.
