Happy St. Patrick's day to the Irish. I don't know the history but I know that he was a Christian missionary and he is the patron saint of Ireland. A good day for Ireland and for Irish people all around the world!

I have wonderful remembrances of St. Patrick Day as I was growing up. My dad always celebrated St. Patrick Day. He would go all out. They have a parade in St. Louis and he would participate in it. The whole day was a big party. The funny thing about it is he was not even Irish. He came here from Italy at a very early age with his parents. My mom was german and Irish and she really showed what a Irish person was like. I can remember her singing in the house for no reason at all. She always had a smile on her face. I celebrate St. Patricks Day by dressing up with green hair and all in green and helping serve the meals for the residents at work. They get a real charge out of it. It brings smiles to their faces.
