Well? We all know that mobile phones are the fad in this generation. So, how often do you use the traditional, landline phones? Or, do you still use them?

Oh yeah. The throat problem. I remember that when I woke the following day after my 5 or so hours of phonecalls, my throat hurts and I couldn't get my voice out.. =/

I only use the land line if someone calls me on it, which is quite rare really. I never make a call via the land line and would use my mobile phone even if I was sat next to the land line. It is far more convenient using my mobile so that I am not restricted in movements.
If it was not for having internet access then I would not have bothered having a telephone line fitted.

Yeah. Landlines make us stay at one place during phonecalls. Mobile phones removes that restriction, but costs a bit more. =)
Thanks!

Haha yeah. Most members of the family owns a mobile phone nowadays. But still, landlines are more convenient than CPs in a sense. =)
Thank you for your reply! =)

Ahaha. Nice to know there are still people who stick with the conventional phones. With today's mobile phones, landlines are rarely used anymore. =/
THanks for the response!

I actually hate talking on the telephone. I do have a landline phone though because I have to have it for internet service for my slow old dial up LOL. I also like to have it for emergency purposes or if I should have to call a business or something. Other than that, I cannot stand a telephone. I hate to hear it when it rings because i know whoever is on the other end probably wants to keep me on there for an hour or two. Most of the time they have nothing to say and we just sit there on the phone in silence. I do have a cell phone to use also for emergency purposes because I usually have the landline phone tied up with the computer service. My husband can also reach me on the cellphone when he is away from home and I am using the computer.

WOw.. That's cool. We used to have a Vonage phone at the office. So we could call US landlines as if we are at the same country. =)

I use my landline every day. I use it as much as i can, because I got free local and national calls to other landlines, so i try to use it instead of the cell when i can.

Only reason I have a landline is for the internet. I don't even have a phone hooked up to it. Just my computer. I don't even know what my home number is. I have to find it whenever I need it.

Yeah.. It is still a cheap way to communicate. But with the popularity of mobile phones, landline phones tend to be left in the corner.. Oh well..
