hey friends, on thursday afternoon, i was getting ready to walk up our road to meet my partner by the supermarket to get some shopping for the weekend! anyway's as i was walking past my house, i heard someone shouting my name and i thought hmm that's not our accent who the hell can that be!!!! well i turned around and siting in the car was my friend and lols friend who we haven't seen for about a year and a half because she lives in another city with her partner! i was glad to see her, they came down to see how i was but her partner's my partner's mate, that's how she got with the boy! i don't really talk to him, he burns my head out! but anyway she come the supermarket with me and my partner plus my daughter while her partner went to look for parts for his car in a garage then she came back to mine and stayed for a few hours! and im so shocked to see how tall and how much weight she has put on, she's the same age as me and she looks about 30 now! i didn't even recognise her at first plus she was telling me she works full time and im happy for her because she ran away from her mum and come into our city a few years back and she was very immature, now she is well mature and is alot nicer than she was! plus i never told her about my partner and stuff because im not sure if she would tell her partner and then he would call my house and tell my partner! but im happy i seen her and she gave me her number!
just had to share this! =)
do you ever get to the point where you don't recognise old friends because you haven't seen them that long??
thanks for reading! =)

Meg that is so lovely for you
But can I advise you on something
She has given you her Number please for a long time do not tell her your new Address or Phone number or anything as she might tell her Partner and then he can pass the Information on to your soon to be Ex Partner. I am just being cautious here for you
With what is going on you are still going to have to be very careful for a long time. You have to be careful who you give information to and what Information you give do not trust anyone Sweet. It is just advise for your own good
Big Hugs to you

It's really nice when you bump into old friends, I don't get this chance very often as I moved out of the area where I grew up in, but the weird thing is when I go back to that area i'm looking at people 20 years younger expecting to see an old face, not realising that they would have grown up too! Silly really! Glad all has worked out with your old friend!

I once met a friend while we were walking in opposite direction in some underground tunnel. He was bloated like a balloon (he used to be well built) and I shouted his name. He turned around (of course he still recognises me) and he commented that he was shocked that I still recognise him - since he has gone really out of shape. :P

of course!! we are all vulnerable to stuffs like that!! especially when memory matters is at stake.. we don't have that photographic memory in order for us to remember every bit of our friend's features.. sad to say as we are getting older our memory declines.. there are a lot of factors we might fail to recognize like eye sight problem, like me..hehe..i always had a hard time knowing even a closest friend of mine if not in a very near distance and if i don't wear my eyeglasses.. things like that.. so its actually normal and nothing to worry in the first place since you already remember her very soon upon your conversation.

I think it is lovely when you see someone unexpectedly that you haven't seen in a long time. It really brightens your day. And it is lovely to know that they still think about you even though so much time has past.

thats wonderful, to see long missed friends. i miss some of my friends too, but most of them arent here anymore. one was killed by her hubby, the other one had an accident and the rest, well they had to go to early from this earth. so i miss only one or two sometimes.
