Yes. I do eat rice for my 3 main meals. When I failed to eat rice for any of my main meals, it's like I'm feeling kind of weak because I know I don't have enough carbohydrates tto burn.

I love rice, and make it often. I use the brown long grain type. Sometimes wild rice. I just won't make plain white processed rice. It's too starchy and been stripped of all nutrients.

We filipinos love to eat rice,it is indeed a filipino staple. in the morning, we would make fried rice. all we need is to saute a lot of minced garlic, put in the rice and add some salt and pepper.you can put eggs,or corned beef. wthere was even a time that rice on a box was a hit here in the philippines.there a lot of variance.seafood rice would have squid, shrimp, mussels and crab sticks.there is also the all-meat: lots of hotdogs, ground meat, sausages.rice is so versatile, you could put almost anything.but the famous of all is the TAPSILOG. a combination of tapa(marinated porloin), Sinangag(fried rice) and egg.yumm-o!

We dont eat very much rice but there are times that we dont want potatoes or pasta and if we have rice we will make it with our dinner. I dont see a problem with having rice as part of a normal diet it is another source of starch which er all need a certain amount in our system.

Hi Neng! As I suspected, you're Pinoy! I eat rice most of the time, but I do take in other carbos too like pasta or bread or noodles. Some of the Pinoy guests during our wedding were commenting (complaining?) about us not serving rice together with the viands in a Chinese lauriat because we served the noodles (and not rice) at the end of the meal (Although that is really the correct way to serve lauriat--di kasama ang kanin). That's how Pinoys love their rice!
If you're used to rice, you really won't feel full without it because it's really a filling food. And a source of quick energy too! But for dieters, they try to lessen their intake because they want to burn up their stored energy, which is their body fat.
