Ok this is a good one.. Cats play with the weirdest things. Its funny how you can spend hundreds of dollars buying toys and stuff for your pets, yet they end up playing with things around the house that you'd never think of. So what are your cats favorite toys? Nemo, our biggest cat plays with the plastic rings from milk jugs, we call them his binkies. Meeca loves plastic back scratchers, you know, the long ones that are colored. Dory has a shoe string that she drags around all the time. And last, Itty Bitty is a paper thief. She will steal anything out from under your nose.. bills, money, grocery lists and take off with it.

Nala used to take her crap out of the litter box and bat it around like a soccer ball, but she stopped when we switched from clay to crytals cat litter. (Now we use pine, and luckilly she hasn't started doing it again.) She used to also like to take my mom's used Always pads from the trash can and carry them around the house. My Mom had to give her a clean Always pad, so that she would stop taking the used ones. LOL.

EEWWW cats I guess can be as gross as my DOG. She used to take pads out of the trash too, or used tisues or trashed towels. GROSS! She even tried to eat cat poop once before I caught her. Sometimes animals can be GROSS. Cute most of the time, but sometimes its like EEEWWW
My dog once (sorry to skip animal) ate a beetle right in front of us! We tried to stop her and she just started going *crunch* *crunch* with it. GGRRROOSSS!!!!! *L*

I have to laugh because my Nemo loves to eat flies from the windows and he will hold on to the tiny little flies with BOTH paws and sit on his haunches and dine.. then he looks at you and licks his lips. Talk about GROSS!

My oldest cat Spot doesnt have a favorite toy, i tried introducing toys to her but she wasnt interested. She got interested with the feather duster, which by now is already reduced to shreds.

My cats favorite thing to play with is a wash cloth, followed by a hair scrunchie. She will play with boxes, bags, and socks too.. I have bought her SO many toys - yet she still prefers to play with household stuff.

My Cat loves dried pasta that she can bat around the kitchen floor. She never tries to eat it or anything like that - she just loves that it slides and is fun to chase LOL.
We have bits of string that she chases when we drag it across the floor and she spends HOURS with her balls that we bought for her. It's about the only thing we bought that she'll play with.

I have three young female cats and they all are weird in their own little ways. But one of them loves paper. Just put a piece of paper on the floor and she is trying to get under it. If you puts lots of newspapers on the floor she will play for hours just trying to get under these papers. All of a sudden the paper is flying around the room with her under it. It is so funny.

My cat does love ONE type of toy you can buy. Those really fuzzy long tailed mice thingys. She broke off the tail of one and will play with that tiny piece for hours. Once even brought it from the hallway upstairs to downstairs.
If thats not there. She plays with her loves of ties from the bread, or ties from taking off the water cap, or just a piece of fuzz. She also loves pens and well other stuff too she can find. And sometimes NOTHING at all will make her go nuts and run upstairs like an insane animal *L* I love my little Princess, still frisky at almost 15 yrs old :))

I have two cats who like to play with the plastic rings, also. One of them likes to play fetch with them. He'll bring the ring to me or my husband and will run after them when we throw it. Sometimes he will even catch the ring in mid air.
Most of the toys that we have bought for the cats go untouched. Like children, they would rather play with the box.
Our cats' favorite toy is the laser pointer. All four of our cats love to chase the light on the floor.

We try to clean under the refrigerator at least once a month to get all the rings out. The cats are so happy to see all the rings.

We pulled out our fridge the other day to fix it and Nemo went nuts.. there was about 15 rings back there and he knew it and couldn't get to them or he feared we would "discover" them.

Some favorite toys of cats that I have had.
Pens and pencils. Almost all cats love them.
Plastic bottle caps.
Rings from milk jugs.
Plastic shopping bags.
Cardboard boxes.
Tape. Muppet loves tape & will take the rolls from my desk.
Computer printer. They are fascinated with the little guy who lives inside.
This is some of the stuff that comes to mind other than strngy type stuff.

Generally my cat's favorite toy is whatever I need to use at any moment in time. My young cat who is less than a year old is still in the crouch and hide then attack phase, shoes, toes, pant legs all are at risk to him. My other cat is 13 years old and has pretty much past that phase, but can be coaxed to playing with a string, but only for so long, she gets bored easily, or maybe it is not boredom but exhaustion. Either way she plays hard for a short period of time. She does like to hunt though, and when she is outdoors she frequently comes back with kitty offerings for me, sometimes still alive...yuk
