Do you need money for happiness

I belive happiness is a state of mind If making money makes you happy then do that ! If reading a book makes you happy then do that !! I thnik that the state of being happy differs a lot from one person to the other but one thing is certain if you have money, its a hell of a lot easier to find happiness !

I don't think that money necessarily equates to happiness no, however I do think that if you don't have enough money to get by on, or if you struggle to understand money and end up in debt then lack of money can cause unhappiness.

money isn't going to buy you happiness but as far as I am concerned, it makes me very happy buying other things..

Unfortuantely in this world you do. I would love to say you didn't need it, but the basics all cost money and I know I wouldn't be hapy without food and somewhere to live, and I can't get either of those without money.

I'm afraid I'd say yes. Sometimes money does bring happiness. You'll be happy if you have the money to pay all your bills, buy thing that your children and family needs. It won't bring happiness when you think about that you have to work hard to earn it, and a month salary just gone in a few hours for paying bills and daily needs.... So, I'd rather have money and happiness.

I think money can't buy you happiness only you can make youreself happy but it does help to buy the finer things in life and if you want to have anything then yes you need money.

I believe that money can bring moments of temporary happiness, like when you are able to pay for your kids to go to college or when you are able to by someone a birthday present that they really like or when you are able to purchase a new car paying for it in full. Nevertheless, for a person to be happy all the time that person has to be in a happy state of mind. They have to will themselves to be happy and make a conscious choice not to allow the things that may come there way in whatever area of their lives not to get them down.

I do not think money will make you happy. There are many rich people that keep searching for meaning in life and happiness. I think you need some money to be happy - at least most places in the world. I know there are some places where money means nothing still, but those places are not many! If you are really poor i think you need to spend almost all your time just to survive. That may make happyness difficult. You do not need alot of money to be able to be happy - but you need to not go hungry every day.

money is not the thing that will make me happy i do not need it to be a happy person i can say i would be happy to do things that depends on having more money or less money but it is not the main issue of my life i do think that hapiness is the way you see things in your life..and money dosn't have anything to do with that..only the attitude:)

Yes and no.You need money to eat and you're not real happy if you are starving.but you don't need to have lots of money?I also think that the job and how well you do it makes a difference also...makes you happy to know you did something well...not just your pay. Hope that helps R
