Simply because there's much more people looking for this kind of work that there's jobs to offers, scammers step in to fill the void! it's frustrating but for a rule if they ask you to pay money out front; it's a scam.. jobs are supposed to pay not to ask for payments.. good luck in finding something honest :)

Yes there are many scams out there. Also people sometimes pass of legitimate business opportunities at work at home rather than home based business opportunities. For finding legitimate companies I would suggest going to http://www.wahm.com and http://tjobs.com. The first is free and the second has a fifteen dollar a year fee to post your resume and access the job offers. Both are legitimate. I wish you the best of luck with your online job search.
