I was a bully victim when i was young, being ugly and fat dark skinned and i have to say, those days really affected me too much that it still does affect me up until now...I lost my self confidence, self esteem, self worth, my inferiority complex has been very high and i have become to grow to be a pessimist- or a cynic for that matter. MY childhood bully victim experienced has caused me to look at life in only 1 hue- dark, gray and null... I am still on the verge of improving my outlook in life and currently i am attending a recovery program to help heal all those past hurts and hopefully- let go of all these emotional baggages, so far, its been helping me cope up. So what about you friends, any one here who's gone through what i have? how did you cope up? does it still affect you now?

I was bullied at school and it took me a long time to realise that people were being genuinely nice to me once I left.
It has changed me and I think that I am a nicer person as a result of it.

I was bullied all through school for being overweight wearing glasse,s and having a skin condition. They say that school should be the happiest time,s of a child,s life both my children have also been bullied, but my daughter who is nearly 18 stopped being a victim at approximately 14 year,s old and started standing up for herself. Unfortunatly for me itas taken much longer i will not let anyone walk all over me but my confidence is pretty low.I have a loving family who help me deal with my skin condition and depression.Help is out there no-one should suffer in silence.

I was bullied before when I was ain grade school. There are classmates of mine who are taller than me who always treat me. What I did was I reported them to the principal of the school and that makes them afraid of bullying me again. I just don't know why they do such things if I don't have nothing against them.
When you are bullied be sure to give your concern to the authrity. It's better this way than to have your revenge.

They ask us to wash their cloth and everything they ask us. Then, one night the senior gang come and fight with me. Im get the hurt and after that I get out from the school and get the new life at the new school. The effect now is I afraid to live in dorm again.

Yes I was. I was among those kids who are less fortunate in terms of parents' wealth. unfortunately there are only 3% of us the entire school. the teachers paid attention to rich kids since their parents are able to pay "more" if you know what I mean. I fought alone since nobody dared to do so, so then I was bullied all the time. I'm still a rebel but I know now that one loyal friend is better than many so called friends and that karma or whatever it is exists. If I look back I'm glad for what I've done, I wish I did a lot more actually, but somehow "somebody" took care of it. Good for me !

I was bullied when I was in 7th grade up till i was in 11th grade,by of all people my life long friend that i knew since kindergarten and her new friend she made over that summer that started it..I dont know if it was because she was jelous the great friendship we had..i dont know but she was a great manipulator in getting my ebst friend against me..and they constantly would fight with me..then when i tuned 16 shortly after i just snapped..and i began defending myself,.and then it slowed way down..name calling was always there,,but that didnt bother me anymore..so i guess.,being bullied kinda made me a stronger person..like i am today..and i will raise my son the same way..not to start fights,..but to defend himself..and not take it like my mom taught me..

no I was lucky I never did, but then I was a shy kid that just blended into the background I guess, I honestly never even heard of this sort of thing going on until really just a few years ago.....must be awful for those you are bullied.

Yes I was bullied and picked on. From 6th through 7th grade for reasons beyond me kids picked on me on a CONSTANT base! :(( Yes it affected me. It hurt my self esteem, gave me habbits I cant break (like I always have dirty nails for some reason my fingers attrack dirt even if just cleaned but kids said that meant I was picking my nose now I am ALWAYS cleaning my nails!).
Plus I went to private school 8th grade through 12th cause of the hurt I was having from being made fun of. I was crying EVERY day in the 7th grade.

I was bullied in various stages. I'm mixed race, but I'm not sure whether this was what sparked bullying. Certainly, I was a tomboy, and didn't give two hoots for fashion. Name calling, mind games, vandalism of my property. School never did anything about it, and all I was told was to ignore it! I started to believe the bullies, who would call me a lesbian (i'm not) just because of the way I dressed etc. Even today, I have low self esteem, and analyse whether my friends really like me. I've had a few cases of people just turning around and pretending they've never met me before. People like that are sick

I was bullied once in primary school. But the school expelled the guy from school. I stood up to the bully and seriously did what was right. I reported it to the authorities (principle) and she took care of the business. It was a good lesson learn, that if you don't stand up for yourself, no one will.

Yes i experienced it before, i was being bullied all the time in school, it was happened when i was in grade school but when i was in Highschool, i never been bullied coz i grew up so tall, far beyond compare when i was in grade school..
It didnt affect me that much, expect for the fact that i dont wanna go to school for some reasons, and then i always lied about something, just to reason out coz i dont wanna go to school..
Other than that, i havent got anything worst than that!
Have a nice day ahead!

I was very much bullied all through primary & high school. Primary wasn't as bad but people there seemed as though they had it in for me, i know i was loud & very outgoing (unlike most of the other people) but i didn't see a need for them to be this way towards me.
When i was in Yr 7 (primary school), my best friend at the time was in yr 8 (high school)- she decided she was now too good for me & started up every rumor she could.
When i got to High school, i was abused verbally every day (even by people i wouldn't know from a bar of soap), i was ignored & had so many people tell me how much of a s**t i was, every person who was COOL or wanted to be would yell abuse at me - i HATED high school, no-one who acted like my friend was really my friend & i was back stabbed by so many people who were my so-called friends.
I currently have no ACTUAL friends, well maybe 1 or 2 but that's it & we don't speak much any more. I guess the hell of high school has made me not very trusting towards people who are nice to me, i have a fear that they'll do what everyone else did.
Things are ok now, i pen pal with so many fantastic & understanding, honest people & have a wonderful partner & a beautiful baby girl, i just hope she doesn't have to experience what i did.
