What is green tea good for?

I have heard green tea is good for you but have no clue what it is good for. I bought some yesterday and am drinking it now but funny thing is I have no clue why. So what is green tea good for?

I'm not 100% sure but I do know a few people who have been diagnosed with high blood pressure and cholesterol who drink it becaus ethey were told to by their doctors

hi ! green tea is good for skin. i have read somewhere hema malini used to take green tea for glowing skin. green tea use to avoid wrinkles.if u want a glowing skin do some yogaasan.

I've heard that it has a lot of antioxidants so it can help prevent cancer. It's also good for your cardiovascular system and metabolism. However, I recently heard you should also limit drinking it when pregnant because it can block absorption of folic acid which is essential to prevent birth defects.
