I don't think there is really. I think you need to make stimulating toys available, things that make noises and have buttons to push etc.
You also need to make sure that they have access to other children at a toddler group or something similar.
I sing songs, play little games, do puzzles with my toddler and most importantly read books.

there is no right or wrong way to play with your toddler if its a boy you might try playing cars or with building stuff and yes you can even play with babies and such i know this sounds crazy a boy playing with dolls but it has been proven that boys that plays with dolls when he was a boy and pretended to be daddy have become better dads as adults. as for girls well you can do just about anything with them sit down and have pretend tea or have pretend conversations on the phone. i was recently shown a new game to play with my 2 year old its called buzzby the bee you hold your pointer finger out and say here comes buzzby and then you buzz buzz buzz until you reach their belly and you tickle them with that finger i do that to my 2 year old and she loves it and now when i hold up my finger and i ask her what it is she says buzzby

my son used to play barbie with my daughter and i was really bothered. that is why i gave him his own xmen(from his dads own colection)to play with his sister.sometimes i ran out of idea on what to do so we just run around the room or go biking outside our house ,around the village.

With blocks, shapes, dolls, chalk and chalkboard, crayons, a ball, stuffed animals. You know kid stuff. There is no right way. There are wrong ways like playing with fire. So you know.
As long as you spend time and give attention many things can be good for play. Read a book too, they make some for toddlers. Good luck.

i have some problems with chalks even with dustless ones,my kids are allergic to it.they love coloring so we do some activities with it the only problem i encoutered is they always write on our walls so what i did was put a big manila paper on the wall where thay can doodle their "art".

i think theres seems to be no specific way as such to play with todlers. my son is just 15 months old and i usually spend time with him and see that he enjoys my company. i pour all the toys around him and see he enjoys them and help him play with them. main intention is only to see that he enjoys and doesnt weep waaaaaaaahh .lol

I dont. I just leave them in the playpen or on the floor and watch them. Sometimes and only sometimes I play peek a boo with them. As far as I know, Toddlers are already happy when you are with them and doesnt ask you to play with them
