What kind of friends do you choose?

Friend should always encourage us.A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND IN DEED...

it almost takes a lot of time for me to make good friends in real life! i do make friends but i just take much time to find out which person is really near to myself and who shares my lookouts!:) i m of a quite nature & a simple person and so r my friends! i think usually people go for the friends who r similar to them because it saves the extra pains of establishing harmony with a person of opposite interests. but in some cases opposites do make for each other's lacking qualities but really i have not seen any example of such friendships yet!:)

hi 358, i have many friends.The active one, the quiet one..i love making friends.for me..i would go be friends with anybody as long as they want to be my friends.But i need honest frinds..once they have hurt my feeling like stabbing me at the back..i will stop communicating with them. i have this kind of people around me..but..generally, we should have different type of people to interact to, to make our life more challenging..

as for me i keep friends that affect my life positively,it does not necessarily me we have to share the same thing in coommon.i could be an introvert while is an exrtovert.i dont have to be like the other peron,talk or do things alike.just be youself and if you feel cool with the quite person as you are there is no big deal

I don't think you can ever put a nice tight label on who edns up being your friend. Sure, there are people you connect to more than others for different reasons. Maybe similar backgrounds, opinions, personalities, interests? But truly, in the end, I think it is a connection that happens for you when it does and you really don't know why and can't reason it out. I think if you had to try to tie it up neatly, my friends have to have an odd sense of humor. Because what is bettter than to laugh together. To me, I have to have a friend who "gets" it.

My bestfriend is just like me in many ways. We are both loud, and outgoing. We enjoy eachothers company and it drives my husband nuts. We both have kids so we understand the other when they are ready to pull there hair out because of the kids. We have no problem asking eachother for help when we need it the most. So when it comes to choosing my closest friends I choose people who are somewhat like me and like the same things I like that way we always have something to talk about and we like to do the same things so that makes things a bit easier too.

well, seems very important to share different views in like. and seems you could find fun with different people with different characters. at least lets have more fun here.

My philosophy in life is that can two walk together if they do not agree. Based on this, my friend should be someone like me . We must resemble in all things, behaviour, ideas, our ways of life, beliefs and so on. By this we can relate well and build a good relationship not a kind of relationship where we tolerate one another but a relationship we can both enjoy and cherish.

friends are easy to find but the real friends are hard to know..For real friends are the one who help you through thick and thin.. the one who is always be there and willing to offer a helping hand when ever you have problem.. true friends are the one who is always be there not only in good times as well as in bad times..

Ya, you are right. I will also have my friend as like me. So that we can be well understood. Friendship is not that who will stay with us only in our happiness. They should be the part of our happiness and our sorrows. They are the real friends.....

i like the friend that have the same interest with me .

I have only a few friends, but I hope that they`ll stay my friends forever. They all have different characters: one person is very lound, another sensitive, some of them are in the middle. I am the quiet one, but it doesn`t make any problem. We hang out together as often as we can and it`s more fun, when there are so many different types between us. They sometimes make you do things, you would never do by yourself. And the discussions are never boring. And when you have a problem, someone whith different character can show you the new, sometimes better, point of wiev. It helps a lot.

I prefer someone who has the same personality like me. I'm quiet at times but can be loud too. I'm more talkative and funny with my very close friends but I'm a little different with the acquainted ones. Of course I'm more comfortable with my close friends...me and my friends enjoy chatting about anything, shopping, dining and hanging out...I need to have a same interest with someone too to be able for them to be my friend.

of course the number one attitude i like is being a trustworthy!!!

As for me I have never choose my friends.

I am more of a quiet type of person , than the outgoing and bubbly type. Most of my best friends have been a bit more outgoing than myself, but i love to have a variety of different type of friends because it just keeps everything interesting, and getting to know different types of people. I wouldn't want someone who is drastically different from my personality or too much like me i guess. As long as we can have fun, and have good conversations , it's cool. I've never had to really pick my friends out either, they just seem to happen naturally.

I like a friend who isn't too clingy...coz I'm not either! Guess I got traumatized when a close friend of mine suddenly, after a year of not seeing each other, became cold when I saw her at a convenient store. I can't remember doing anything wrong. After the incident, I kind of guarded myself and started choosing friends. I'm a loyal friend that's why I want someone who's loyal too :)

It may be generally believed that affable individuals who interact more get more friends. But then intimacy in any relationship is acquired only when the mental wavelength matches between individuals. do not give up your originality. You always need to have good friends but try to respect others views even if they are contrasting to those of yours. hope you understand what i mean
