We are not bad people, we do not do anything to anybody, don't cause trouble, don't drink or smoke, work hard and just take care of our kids, but for some reason anything that is bad that can happen to anybody happens to us. My hubby switched jobs back in december and we have been broke ever since. Had no christmas, had numerous bounced checks, and the list goes on and on. If I did not make what little I do off of online I would not even be able to get online. I am just about ready to give up! I cannot do this anymore. I want it to be over so bad and I want no more worries. I am not contiplating suicide, I just wish all of this bad stuff would be over. How can someone have so much bad luck??

I went to a class a few weeks ago for low income families on how to help them. The lady who took it was really wonderful. She said that we should always focus on what we want and it will come to us. She said if you continue thinking I've got no job, I haven't got any money etc then you will stay like it, but if you concentrate on what you want ie money, a good job, happiness etc then it will come to you.
It might sound really silly to you, but it does work for me so could be worth a try.

I agree completely...life is what you make it. You can't just sit around and hope good things will happen to you...you have to go out there and make the good things happen for you.

It doesn't sound like wham is sitting around being idle, but there is, as michelledarcy says much creative power in both [1] our words and [2] our thoughts.. It's true! Also of great benefit, during both the highs and lows of life, is times of quietness and reflection.. We're always emptying ourselves, especially the busy parents of children, and it's good to take the time for ourselves, not just for other things, but specifically to refill ourself..

Dude, you are not the only one in this world with the "LIFE IS Bad" and "LIFE SI MEAN", problem. This problem is with everyone, trust me everyone has this kind of a problem.
If you see life from the point of view of someone else. Then you would come to know that how mean life can really be.
A person whose one arm is amputated is happy that he has the other arm. He is not sad that he lost one of his arms.
These kind of persons should inspire us. We should learn from them.

ONE THING I have found about life is that if you weather the storm, no matter what, it will eventually go away. It helps to know that. It helps to know that life has not always been like this and that it won't always be like this either. I went through a bad period in my marriage for 3 years, and now I'm past that storm and my current storm is my finances, but I'm coming up out of that storm too and will be out of it with the help of God. If you pay attention, you just learn these things in life. You have your family and your health. There are many people in the world who don't have that.

...just remember any situation you're in is only temporary and eventually it will improve.

It's a paradox! Life is good, because God is LIfe itself, and he's Perfection, of course.. but he gave thinking ability. When he did a whole new world (or tree) of possibilities 'came to be'. But what was his other option? And then in order for it to be the running of 'free-will' he has to let it run its course, or it isn't free-will! But! Because God IS perfect, the end result of (of all this and human history) can only be the very best 'end' result.
It helps a lot in this life, two things, 1-as you know, prayer, and quiet reflection, and 2-- to realize there is creative power in our words.. and thoughts.. peace and prayers..

i am so sorry to hear about your woes. I offer no solution as I am in deep poopoo myself. I can say however, that we just have to live one day at a time and hope for the best. I keep on reminding myself that nothing lasts forever...including problems and bills :-) That in itself makes me feel a bit better.

i know what you mean. i am in the same situation. i feel like everything is going to me as well. i was usually taught to be nice and how the bad things can come back to me if i made someone feel bad. there used to be like some really disabled kids that were in one of my class and was someone that students made fun of. although i was one of those who talked to him and not laugh at the jokes other students made for him, that hurt his feelings. those students were the ones that got something nice for it and had a lot of people talking to them. i, in the other hand came along to the same situation as if i was the one who hurt the guys feeling.

Aaarrgghh... I can understand your feelings and no amount of good words from me or anyone else will change your way of thinking. When bad things happen to us, life really sucks. It's not that we cannot do anything about it, but we can. My solution is to just think positive, pray hard and don't lose hope.
How can someone have so much bad luck, you ask? Sometimes I just think that this is my role in life... LOL. Really, in a movie or any story, not all of the actors are lead characters, right? Maybe our roles are the kind given to those who are always on the background, not getting enough attention, not really important in the scene but still have to be there.

Dude, personally I hate whiners and EMO's. But cheer up! Look at your life on the bright side!!! It helps, TRUST ME!! Whenever things go bad, all you have to do is what good things this even brings you! If you just complain and say that everything is so stupid and lame, nothing good is going to happen to you....

The first comment that was made, she was talking about the power of attraction. There is stuff online you can read about. Its true you attract what you think and believe. I hope things change for you. You also might want to go rent the Secret.

I have a friend who has had more than double the bad luck that you have had!
Just remember whatever happens, there are always people out there who are worse off than you are!

I know what you mean. I've always worked, sometimes two jobs at once, and always have just made ends meet. Now here I am at 55 trying to start over again.
I was a total basket case for a few days there but I still open my eyes in the morning so it could be a lot worse!
Was it Murphy's law that says "Anything that can happen, will"?

I'm sorry to say this....But that's the way it is... even I can't understand why bad things happen to good people, why not punish those who have done so many wrongs and let them suffer.
Maybe it happens to people who god loves the most, so we can always remember him... by the way, there are reasons for everything and problems are not given to you if you cannot manage to handle it... maybe you are a strong person that's why this is happening to you... and you know what you can be more stronger and braver after you survive this.
