I observed something about Mylot ...

I thought the whole earnings system was confidential. We just base our beliefs on what seems to be common to other people too. I usually make around $.02 on each response (quality) that I make. I haven't noticed any increase in post number for starting discussions, and I don't know if I get paid for starting discussions. Therefore (and since I don't think I have many new ideas) I tend to respond more than starting discussions. I have taken a day off from the site and still gotten paid, but that seems to be because the day before I was posting after the "date" cutoff. So my posts were credited to the next day. I think it's too much to worry about to try to figure out exactly how much you're earning. Easier to just post when you can and check your earnings later.

Some people claim that you need at least 10 responses to your discussion in order to earn any money. And then you earn like only .001 (or something like that) per response. I do not know if this is true. As I have never seen this written by the mylot people. So I tend not to believe it until I see proof. I hope this helps. PS...if you get referrals, then they can make money for you while you are not able to get on line. That's what i do. So the days I can't sign in and participate, my referals are. Just a thought

You only get payed once when the first person answers your topic then thats it no more pay for that topic. You should be able to find it in the guidelines. Good luck.

I think its because the responses were not up to the mark to be paid by mylot. Sometimes my earnings are also up to what i expect but as far as they pay something its ok with me. Anyway sorry to hear that your earnings was not updated who knows might be due to technical failure or the reason that the replies were not the quality to be paid. Anyway hope that does not happen and good luck to you.

I don't understand it either. I have looked for an official posting by mylot indicating how they make their decision on payments but I can't find any! I think that is so they can change it as they see fit! On a day when not many people use thesite I guess their revenue is lower so we get paid less! Or it could be the other way round... the more people on the more they have to pay so the less we get! Who knows! Maybe one day mylot will enligten us properly!

See... I understand your concern and if I had been at your place, I also would have been unhappy... But you see, you need to think from the point of view of mylot... They are not doing charity here after all. They are also trying to earn money for themselves. They can't afford to have memebers who don't post at all. Just imagine, there are so many websites who don't give you even single penny for what you do. At least my lot is giving you a share of what they earn, isn't it just enough???

I thought I was the only one who had the same observation. I was able to post some replies yesterday, maybe around 10-20 replies so I was expecting that therr would be an increase in my earnings. And I know for a fact that even if we don’t have any activity, we still earn if some people reply to our discussions. So I was also surprise this morning when I check my earnings that it didn’t even increase even for a tiny centavo. I just don’t know what happened with my lot yesterday. It could be that they just have a delay with the posting of the earnings because when I check the earnings page, they are only posting the earnings since Monday, March 18 and it did not inclide the earnings for yesterday. Maybe we can just check tomorrow and see if they already updated the earnings for all my lot members.

My understanding is the the star is due to people rating you..not because of how active you are..though it certainly helps, since more people see you and thus rate you. As for posts, they're different for everyone. You're still under the five hundred marker so you've some time yet..under five hundred they're usually really wonky with your earnings..adjusting to a pattern for you. That at least is my deducation..after seeing how most people's earnings are at different stages. I had a rough start too..so I understand how it can be kinda puzzling sometimes. I made like almost 15 responses yesterday and I found out that my earnings remain and it didn't increase even a single cent today. However, the same thing had happened to me few days ago. But when I checked out again the following day it rapidly increases. I guess, they don't monitor or change the earnings into a day to day basis perhaps because of the enormous population we got here. And they can't afford to monitor all of the earnings in just one day. I hope to see some changes on my earnings by tommorrow.

it happens to me too, i got the impression if we attract people in our discussion and they responded we will earn. I really don know the process. one time i have the oppurtunity to respond to my friends discussion and when i checked my earnings and the increase is so low compare to my response. But then when i opened my account today,, my earnings got higher and it increase higher than what i have expected. Maybe mylot is just reviewing your account still, coz that's what i think whats happen to me.

I'm not positive how the system works either. I've posted a similar question regarding this before. I've noticed 2-3 cents for loading photos along with discussions. It has been difficult to track how much is made through responses on discussions. I think mylot should post this information so we will all be informed.

It happened earlier to many members. It makes more members develop some kind of negative attitude towards myLot. At present more number of members are get discontinued owning to the very same reason. Further you can go through my discussions in this regard.
