Do you recycle your ink cartridges at work or home? Or do you just throw them in the trash? And if you do, do you send them back to the manufacturer or participate in a program where profits go to non-profit organization such as women's shelter or animal shelter?

I'm ashamed to say that most of the time I just throw mine in the garbage. There isn't a place too close to where we live to be able to take the empties for recycling or I would turn them in for that instead.

That's too bad! A lot of the office supply stores are offering pre-paid envies now, as well as pet stores.

I participate in a program where they benefit the animals. I wrote an article about the program at: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/168841/cash_for_critters_turn_trash_into_cash.html

I have donated to one also that benefits an animal shelter. The money goes towards food. I really like participating in a program like this.

Everytime I buy a new Ink Cartridge, it comes with a self stamped envelope so you can send the old cartridge back. I do send it back to them, I just like recycling.
