Are you talking about a discussion for myLot or an article for a different site? Discussions are much different than articles. They don't need to be long, just 3-4 sentances if that is all you can come up with. It's best to write about something you are interested in or want to know more about. Use your personal views/insites/experiences as the basis for your discussions. Not everyone is going to respond, there would be no way that would ever happen on a site that has 80,000+ members. Just be grateful for those that do. It's okay not to have huge responses. Make friends and build up your network, so that your friends will help you by responding to some of your topics...but don't expect them to reply to all of them either. I hope I have helped you some. Write about what you like, you can't please everyone, so please yourself.

Rather than being concerned about what people would like i would suggest u to have deeper insight and think what u personally would love to write when ur given a peice of paper in your hand and when you are lonely...give ur personal interests more importance rather than the mass likings or amusements..so keep ur interests live and pen them down which would automatically formulate in what u call to be a good article studded with true feelings with blend of simplicity and ornamentalism..
