wow, you are clever, luckily for me I have a laptop and barely have to move my hand to get to the mouse as it's on of those flat square things with 2 buttons - probably has a posh name. Some of that I didn't even understand, thanks for sharing!

OK, those are great! I won't remember them all, so I'm going to have to copy/paste them to a word doc tomorrow (too tired tonight to mess with it), however I am hoping that I remember the 3rd button/scroll button thing! My scroll button presses down like a 3rd button, so try that before saying you don't have one as it worked for me!

Wow Anne, you are always great at giving tips. These are so usful for all of us, who spend lots of time infront of our computer. I am not very good at using shortcuts using the keyboard. I use just few like for copy paste, select and save a page etc. I will take a print out of this article and will try to use all of those key combination. Thnaks for these great tips.

I think maybe my keyboard doesn't really like these lol, because I tried a few of them and they didn't work for me! I've had this problem before though. I use Mozilla Firefox to surf and so at first thought it might be that, then I saw the response that said they refer to Mozilla so it stumped me somewhat lol. But oh well, good idea for a discussion though, and I'm sure many people will find them handy. I guess for me, I'll just have to keep on using my mouse lol. Thanks for sharing though!

Here are another useful ones: WIN+D - shows the desktop CTRL+A - select all (useful when you want to copy whole text) These probably everybody knows, but may be useful for somebody: END while typing - go to the end of line PageUp/PageDown - jump go/down through bigger than one line parts of text CTRL+F in Firefox (and many, many others applications) - search

To be frank, I knew most of these short-cuts already, but the some of them WERE new for me, so thanks for them. This discussion isn't really a response-oriented one, so I'll just say that I gave you a positive rating for trying to be of help to others!

I used to teach computers to blind people. Since they can't see the screen, they need to use the keyboard shortcuts. Occasionally, our mouse will stop working and my husband will go crazy because I can still use the computer and he can't:) I'm sure all programs have shortcuts. I used to teach the ones for Windows, MS Office, etc.
