what is special on your birthday?

yesterday was my 40th birthday and it was spent in the hospital watching my 9 year old son do a battery of tests to determine what causes his seizures. it was the irst time that we learned he's epileptic and it's soooo painful to me as his mother. i asked myself why it had to be on my bday? maybe, it's for a reason? maybe there's a purpose for this? i don't know.... i still can not totally grasp what's happening....

I love celebrating my special day and I just have to have cake on my birthday!

it makes me feel older, but is a good day to meet same rlatives or friends

I don't love to have a party for my birthday because I prefer to go to my friend's birthdays. It's strange but it's thrue, I have more good time at others birthdays than in mine birthday.

well there were different years that were special to me. like my 16th when i got a huge sweet sixteen pary, my 18th when i was old enough to buy my own and actually legally smoke cigereettes, and my 21st were drinking wasnt a big deal to me but my mother and my husband took me down to foxwoods and we all gambled and had a blast all day. that day was awesome as well because for my 21st birthday at foxwoods we ( my husband and i ) went with $80 each and left with 2 jackpot winnings!! he won twice!! But other than that there is no real specail thing. well my sister and i usually go to a movie and she takes me to dinner and then my husband makes me breakfast in bed. and my mom gets me a cake and what not, but other than that its all the same as the day before, cooking and cleaning and being a mom.

my friends attention would be the most special things on my bday i'm not expecting an expensive gifts or big cakes, just a short and simple bday message will keep me happy through the week.. hehehehheee in my country, we often sending a short message most of my bday message is sent via sms i kept it on my handphone it is very precious for me and also to remind me always that i have lots of care

Every birthday is a special day for me. I got to celebrate another blessing and another year of my life..

Happy birthday! I don't do anything special on my birthday either. My mom usually buys me dinner and gives me a card and money. My husband rarely even acknowledges it.

i never do anything special for my birthday.. my kids usually give me sonething, and my husband. the best part i think is when your friends remember your birthday, when i get a card or a phone call, it makes me feel good. the family is nice, but they do it because they have to i think.

When my daughter was very young my husband would take her to visit her grandmom so that I could go out and party with the girls at least once a year. Now that I have settled down a little. We have a nice dinner at a nice restaurant just the two of us. I am getting old and the birthday thing is something we don't really need to talk about.

I'm sorry that you did not do or have any thing special to do on your birthday. As for me, I will always try to be away for a short trip during my birthday. I will try to pamper myself by going for spa or holiday. I just celebrated my birthday last saturday in Kuala Lumpur. Its a nice birthday treat from someone dear to me. While I'm there, I received sms from my family members and friends as early as midnite and my phone keep beeping througout the day. I dont normaly like to spent my birthday with so many people, just me and my love one will be sufficient enough.

i have a few special things about my birthday. All my life i have shared my birthday with my mother as her birthday is the day before mine. As i got older and my cousins got married my one cousin had her two kids around my birthday so from March 23-26 we celebrate birthdays. Its actually pretty nice to have 4 other people to celebrate bithdays with.

its special for I am still alive!
