So at the end of University in about a year I will be in quite a bit of debt thanks to the student loan I had to take out. The loan is deducted from my salary when I start working (only if I earn more than a certain amount a year)
But I'm not planning to pay much of this back!
I found out that if I move into a none European Union country for seven years or more all my debts will be written off. Easy way to get out of debt me thinks!
Talk to me about debt...

I think the only way out of the debt you are in,is the idea you have sited. But yet i think it is not good for you to run away from your debt.Firstly because you might still have one or two benefit from that country, and the debt you left behind will not allow you to enter into such country.Another reason is that you not paying the money will serve as blockage to others that need such benefit.

Dear Hoz9991, is it worth the effort and time to run away from this debt that you've incurred. Its a debt of the goodwill of your school extended to you for your education and i don't think that its ethical to do such a thing. I would recommend that you quickly repay this debt so that you can be debt free and able to soar the sky debt free. In the meantime, you'll have to slog out and repay that debt of yours.
However, if you do think of running away, do think of what you have to say to your next generation or your kids, you wouldn't want them to learn such an example of yours, which will in turn make them think that such atitude is worthy to consider.

I am not a person that is likely to live in debt, I have no credit cards because I prefer to pay for things when I have the money to do so. If I were to stay in my own country I would be glad to pay it off, but I have other reasons to move to another country anyway, the fact that my debt would be written off is just a bonus as far as I am concerned.
I understand and agree with everything that you said though.
