I have a new subordinate in my shop and he says he is a Caote at type of Wiccan based loosely on Budhhist theories. I am very accepting of other people's religions and like to learn as much as possible about them. Can someone tell me about how they are Caote and how it works in today's life?

I'm pretty familiar with Wicca too, and I've never heard of this particular type. It would seem like it's probably based off the works of one religious author, or a small-group tradition from one particular place. I know there are a lot of Wiccan groups that break off on their own and have a particular flavor to their practice that is different, and often these are family groups or based around specific leaders.
I would love to hear more about it now. I'm pretty curious. I didn't have any luck finding anything online. Maybe you could ask your subordinate for resources and then share them with us? Like books to read or internet sites? We could all learn together then. =)
