what do you think is the best instrument in a band?

The best instrument in a band is, of course, the voice! haha. But I play the guitar because my voice is veeeeeery BAD, lol. The drums are cool I think, I want to learn to play the drums, but it looks very difficult.

In a band every instrument is important. Yes, drums give the beat in a song, but bass too, infact the drums give the rhythm and the bass defines the chord of the guitar. Drums and bass are important for the rhytmic movement. But the other instruments too are important, try to listen to a song by Doors without keyboards (Ray Manzarek) or the band with Jimy Hendrix without guitar....

The best instrument in a band is the Guitar. Without it, the flow of the song/music will divert. Drum ... gives a good part but to some extend, guitar has more meaning in a band.

I think the guitar is the most important except for cases like Primus. Peronsally I enjoy the drums the most, though.
