What is you favorite thing to write and why? I love to write poetry. It's simple and comes easily to me. I find that it usually happens out of nowhere. I carry a notebook with me just in case.
So, what about you and why? Novels, short stories, poetry...what do you enjoy writing?

Good call. A journal is never a bad thing! I have had one on and off for a while. Think I need to start doing that again...

Writing is my passion, my hobby, my life, lol. I write all types of things...poetry, short stories, articles, and novels. I have completed two novels and am working on two other ones at the present time. I am published both in print and online medias, but the novels haven't found a home yet. I am always writing as well, and my notebook is my best friend, other than my husband, lol. If you are interested at all in writing articles for a little extra cash and exposure, you can try Associated Content. They pay $5-$20 per article they accept and you can pretty much write what you want to. http://www.associatedcontent.com/join.html?refer=15512
I have made a good little bit working with them, and really enjoy the flexibility of it. I need to get submitting some more material, but have been caught up in novel land lately. What type of poetry do you write? Mine is mostly free verse. I look forward to getting to know you better, seems we have several things in common.

I love to write anything about life. Just some articles or forums. Not really with poetry and novels. I write music too. The lyrics that I write usually comes from my own feelings and ideas, thus the whatever the result of the song maybe, it depicts my very core emotions. :)

Very nice. I don't have the patience for lyrics, but I wish I did. Anything about life is good in my book. (pardon the unexpected pun)

short stories. I enjoy writing because it allows me to release my knowledge to the world or just let me get things out on paper and make sense out of the unexplainable.

My favorite thing to write is fiction. And 99% of my stories (I'm working on multiple ones, not good I know lol) revolve around a cop, who is the stories hero. I think the reason i use cops in my stories is because I really appreciate them and think of them as the best kind of heros.

My genre is poetry--I like it because it's short, it doesn't require a long, drawn out plot, and it focuses more on words than what is actually being said. I've been playing with flash fiction, which is a genre anyone who likes to write short stuff should try. Creative non-fiction is a genre I am trying to work with more because it's really similar to my style of poetry. I write a very narrative, prosey poem, and I can translate my ideas for poems into non fiction prose very easily. But poetry is my favorite. I enjoy breaking convention and forgoing all the nursery rhyme verse that is so common of non-contemporary poetry. I think poetry is a genre that lends itself well to experimentation, which is something I enjoy.
