I personally believe that happiness is a choice. When we choose happiness, we take note of all the things around us that bring happiness, and we enjoy them all the more. I have already seen the world with my eyes, so becoming blind would never really take away my vision.

It really doesn't make sense, as statistics show that 1. It takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile, and 2. It is far easier to trigger a positive reaction than a negative reaction. Yet so many people choose to live in negativity. Perhaps through the small group of people who choose happiness a trend can be started that will shift the world. I have hope. :)

I would lose my eyesight. Though actually the greatest happiness I have ever found has been in knowing Jesus. That is where my true happiness comes from. I have suffered severe mental illness but as soon as I accepted Jesus in my life my life was turned around. Happiness is knowing your Creator that is what true happiness is.

Friends and eyesight are essential and equally important to me. To make a choice of losing either of these will put me in a rather difficult situation. I consider it to be an extreme question likes “who are you going to save if both mother and husband (wife) were going to be drown?” So for me, I could never make a proper choice.

Well we all say that happiness must start from within and that if we are not happy from the inside we cannot find it outside of ourselves through external forces..But I must say I REALLY MISS MY HUSBAND AND WHEN YOU FIND A SOULMATE AND WANT TO BE WITH THAT PERSON WHO IS FAR AWAY..YOU CANNOT SOMETIMES HELP FEELING A BIT LOW when apart lol. However much I try to keep my chin up and my head above water..at night I think of his lovely face and miss him..

i would choose losing eyesight.there are many blind persons around us,but i haven't heard anyone without friends.so,i think living without friends is more difficult than living without eyesight.and friends are more important than eyesight!

I think happiness is found in the small things within our lives, yes family and friends and the small things around us, big expectations and wealth does not bring happiness...its definitely the small things around us.

Happiness comes from within. Happiness for me is satisfaction and contentment of what you have. You don't need to be filthy rich to be happy nor you don't have to be a pauper to be happy.
If you ask me what would I choose my friends or eyesight- It is okey to loose a friend because we could replace a friend and sometimes get a better one but we cannot replace our eyesight. If you loose your eyesight - I believe you will loose 50 percent of the things you believe would make you happy.

it starts from oneself. find the things you love and love to do and go for it. nothing more brings more happiness than the feeling of contentment. once your contented, you wont expect much and think too much about almost everything and you'll have peace of mind

I think we can find happiness by enjoying the simple things in life. Our nature is we always want more. More of everything lol We think if we had this thing we will be happier, and then once we have it, we want something else and so on. I have a 5 years old son, he is always asking for toys and he is never happy with what he has. If his Friend has something he needs to have it. And the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence heh? My father says: if you can live without something, then you don't need it.
Yes I do believe that we can find happiness from POSITIVE friends and family.
Lose my friends or my eyesight? Oh well, I would chose to lose my friends! I think losing one's sight would be among the worst things that can happen.

I think happiness can be felt when we are contented with our life.. :) We could say that we found happiness from relationship and friends because it maybe be one of the source where we feel special and loved. I would be hard because we need both but I would rather lose my eyesight than lose those people special to me..
