Is this a bad day? Or pretty normal for a mum?

My eldest daughter woke with a nightmare sometime in the early hours and came to sleep with me. Then at 5.30 I woke with a horrible stomach ache (womens things....!!) and had to strip the bed. This woke my 2 year old who then came in the bed too and didn't fall asleep again.
Was hoping for a quiet day but got up and have nearly run out of milk and bread so have to go to the supermarket after dropping the eldest off at school.
It is pouring with rain so no hope of drying the washing and boy I'm looking after has no coat again. I can't leave him in the car when I drop off at school as someone reported me to the head for doing this last week.
Now I have also noticed 2 spots on my youngest that look suspictiously like chicken pox and I still have a stomach ache.....I just hope the day improves from now on.

I aggree with you 100% on this one. A mum's day is extremely hectic and busy. I hope you are feeling better, and tomorrow is a little easier.

Its not alway like this but there are those times when everthing that can happen does happen all at once.
2 year olds seem to be like that they wake up and then stay up and want to play, mine is like that in fact he has to sleep in our bed at the moment so he sleeps at all at night.

Ohhhhhhhhh. Its really a bad day for a Mom. Its really a bad day for u as u urself was feeling pain 1st and then urs daughter.......... Ohhhhhhhhhh. Be patient and i think that u r really a brave Mom!!!!!!! Who is still saying that is it a normal day???? I'll pray for u & urs daughter that May God bless with health u both!!!!!

I am right there with you. I have more bad days then good I think anymore and it had been raining for 3 days now and I am so board. I really want to work in my yard this week but they say rain all weekend just my luck. I hope you have a better tomarrow.

Do not take it out on yoourself, I guess, It does happen toevryone of us, to have everyting going against us!!! Sigh.!!
I have had not one a few such bad days. The only thing I do is pray that the day will move faster then usuall, but it never, it always seemed that the day is dragging by.
But, live as to go on, right. It does finally, night arrives, I will make some excuses to go the bed much earlier than usual.

I won't say this is a normal day for a mum. Instead, it is just one of the days a mum has to get used to. Motherhood is not an easy responsibility, my friend. :P

Welcome to the glorious world of Mums pal , I remember those days so well , and now I am just getting over the granny days as my grandchildren are getting older too lol , My eldest granddaughter id 17 but I hope I am not going to be a great granny too soon lol , but go on tell the truth , you wouldn't be without them ( well maybe a day or two EH!! lol .. xx

I hope you get better tommorow for that stomach ache.. And other than that, you are having a bad day but still when your a student... Your days are just as bad as that... Go to class1.. Stop and go to class 2... Eat. Class 3... It is now midnight. Go outside wait for bus in pouring rain. You are all wet when the bus comes... You get in and then the guy says your ticket doesn't work... So you gotta pay them 2$...
Then you go in the bus.. You accidently fall a sleep and then you miss your stop and you go to far... shall i go on ?

sounds pretty normal in the respect that if something is going to happen- usually 3 or 4 things will happen at the same time...lol
Take faith in knowing you will never be dealt more in life than you can handle :)

well, being a mother is not easy,that is true,especially ur kids is younge,but things will get better as they grow up,and u do have lots of fun to being a mother.

Oh yes we do have these kind of days when we are bring up our children unfortuately, I am glad for myself that those days have finished but my eldest daugher will have to go through all of this as my youngest grandson is 2 years old and my daughter is expecting the second child in June. So yes unfortunately we do have those days where we could just scream and hope that the day will be over and that the next day will be a better day for us.

When it rain, it pours. You're having one of those days when everything seems to go wrong. I know what you're feeling, michelledarcy. But don't worry, you are still normal. I also need to deal with a lot of issues everyday. Sometimes, I ended up feeling like howling in the moon. Try to take each matter one at a time. Don't forget to take those 10 deep breathes. I learned to deal with this kind of thing. I try to prepare myself to face the best and worst situation that will happen in a day. Being a mother is a tough job. I wish you more patience. I wouldn't say this is an average day for a mom! But it does happen when everything hits you at once. I hope tomorrow is better for you my dear!

All the best dear, and hope everything goes well ahead. Well we do face everytype of day and situation some day or the other. It is said that guests and problems never come with prior notice.
Don't worry it is also believed that when you have to many mishaps in a day, then you will not have any major problems in near time, so I just hope that these things work for you and you live pleasantly ahead.
