i think it's the worse operation ever. A friend of mine had it a year ago. She came to be so slim after a while. Then she started eating againand now she has health problems

I think stomach reduction surgery might help some people but it is very drastic surgery. Perhaps exercise, good nutrition, good eating habits...

My mother-in-law had it done for medical reasons. She is doing really well and looks great, but I've heard of other people that had major problems after having it done. I think it should only be done if medically necessary.

Thanks forthe response! I understand about doing this for health reasons. I just think that it is major surgery and should be treated as such, not seen as a way to lose weight easily.

this surgerg is a sure bet that you have no self control and will do you little good due to this situation your better off to reduce the amount you eat on your own because there is no turn back once the surgery is done there are to many unnessery risks also to your healt and life it's just not worth the chance you take by having the surgery just take control of your life and push away from the table and get active even if it in small steps it your life to save or lose!

Yeah, I don't really like the idea of it myself. I was recently at a convience store (picking up water on my way to the gym)and the woman in front of me in line was bragging about how much weight she had lost since having this surgery. All I could think to myself was that it was laziness that brought her to having this surgery, she was proud of her weight loss, but I think that there is not much to be proud of, it is not like she worked for it.

nothing really works on permanent basis, you have to eat healthy, walk a lot, drink a lot of water, dont eat sweets, and watch meal portions. eat once every 3 ours, small portions. drink water drink water smile!

it shldnt definitely be considered as way for losing weight... thr are many harmful effects of this surgery... one shldnt go for it if not medically indicated
