I wonder if it is right or wrong to let a cat sleep on your bed. Cats love the comfort of soft bedding. Howevetr they can moult fur all over the bed. Is this a good idea? It might make some people sneeze. If the cat had flees could they jump off onto the bed? I love cats. But is it right or wrong for them to sleep on a bed? If you have a cat is he or she allowed on your bed?

We have a cat named Wilbur and if he wants to we let him sleep on our bed at the foot. It is a relaxing sound to hear him purring. We both laugh at Wilbur because sometimes he will get on my husband's side of the bed and my husband will gently move him over so that he can stretch out when he is ready to lay down. Wilbur stretches out and looks really cute. Sometimes he will use my husband's foot for a pillow. Ha! Ha!

The last cat I had slept on my bed at times. I raised him as a tiny kitten, under 6 weeks old :(, and I would let him sleep curled up under my neck back then, sometimes all night. Once he became a cat he still slept next to my head on the bed. Darn cat was so sweet that he'd lay on top of me and put his head under my chin like he did as a kitten. Only difference was that he couldn't curl up and do it. LOL Gosh, I miss him. :(

Our cat sleeps on our bed when he feels like it. I don't mind so much though. It's comfort for him, and my husband has had this cat for 13 years, so Finnegan is more than used to sleeping in our bed.
The only time either of us mind is he is a really big cat, and has a habit of stretching right out at the bottom of the bed, which forces us to sleep diagonally :)

I have two cats and I don't think I could NOT let them sleep on the bed! My husband gets mad because he doesn't have room to move sometimes but I tell him that the cats were here first (I had them before I met my husband). It's very comforting to have them curled up next to you, even though it can be inconvenient. But, letting them sleep on the bed is a personal decision, and with any pet or child, you have to be consistent. They either can or can't. My cats have always slept on the bed, so I think it would be mean and confusing and difficult to kick them off now (not that I ever would!)

i do have two cats.i let them sleep on my bed beside me everyday.my cats ownselves also knew its their "bed".every time they wanna sleep they will just get into my room and sleep on my bed.all the furs are all over my house.sometimes i just hug them as my pillow and sleep.but if you are sensitive to cats then you shouldn't let them sleep on the bed.because it's not so good for health then

Yeah, I let my cats roam around the house as they please. I take them to the vet regularly to get rid of fleas and stuff, so that's not a problem. As for fur, well no one in my house is affected by it, haha, there's fur all over the place in this house!

My cat sleeps on my bed all the time. It doesnt bother me. I just wipe the fur(if there is any) off with my lint roller.

Well, since I live in a one room place and I have 13 cats, they pretty much go wherever they want to go. I actually enjoy having them sleep with me. Probably because I'm used to it at this point.
Regarding fleas, just get some Advantage and treat them and that will avoid the flea issue. The best time to treat them is now before the fleas start multiplying. You don't want your cat to have fleas one way or the other because they can be dangerous for their health. I hope this helps.

But we dont let them to sleep on our bed. Never!
But we let them to stay, lay back, sleep on the sofa every night as we dont really stop them doing it coz we're all in our own rooms by night so nobody here can stop them and say dont sleep on the sofa! lol
Have a nice day ahead.

Why should it be wrong to let one's pet sleep on the bed---I have two pampered babies and they sleep wherever they feel like and in particular on my bed..I'd miss it if they didn't

Not only does Moomin sleep on the bed, she insists on sleeping on the bed whenever she can. I generally wash my bedding once a week so any fur Moomin sheds will be gone.

my cats have pretty much free run of the house. i love it when one of them (or a few of them) decide to come lay in bed with me. It makes me feel incredibly special, most especially when they want under the covers with me.

we have a cat in the house but its not really my idea to have one, because i don't like cats, coz i'm allergic with them,,..for me it depends on the person if he or she wants his/her cat to sleep in there bed..
