I wrote an article about my biggest secret: I am a dyslexic writer and today I was searching through the articles on Associated Content and found one almost identical to what I wrote. The only problem is that I can't report it because she changed a few things to make it different. I don't understand why someone would do this. I was not looking to win the My biggest secret contest on Associated Content, I only wrote it because I thought that it would be fun but now she has ruined my fun. Oh, well I guess like everything else, I will move on to get over this.
here is my article if you want to check it out.

What can i do? Are they willing to stop what their doing when i told them to stop stealing my ideas?
No they wont and they will continue to do that with others..
Its really bad to know that there's some people that really do such things like stealing and faking things..
Im just letting them and get their bad karma back to them soon! That's all what im doin!
Have a nice day!

I hope that their bad karma hurries and bites them in the rear.

What a horrible thing to do. With the many submissions going into AC, the managers wouldn't even be able to catch this in time. You work hard on what you write and one person goes and changes a few words here and there to avoid getting in trouble.
I'm still working on "My Biggest Secret" but wow there are a lot of articles I'm finding on this topic on AC. I've got some hefty competition!

I didn't figure that I would win and now I know that I don't have a shot but I thought that it would be kind of fun to do this. I can't wait to read yours and yes there are a lot of articles on this submission.

I don't think you wouldn't have a shot because of it. I bet a non-paying article like this would be even more likely to get through as a duplicate though. Not as likely to have been reviewed as much.
And hey, yours still was out there first if both are up for the final winner.

Never say never, rose! The fact that you submitted your article improves your chances in winning. It's the people that sit back punching themselves when someone wins $125 that are the losers.

it's really annoying when someone steals your ideas, isn't it??? some people just go to every means just to get what they want... well, if you can't do anything, then i can only say just let it go and move forward... just hope that the person will get her punishment in the future...

I guess your right. What is the point in me ranting about it? It is just very upsetting that someone would do this to me. They are not only stealing from me but also my family. This is how I make money to feed my family and pay off bills.

Rosa, I just read this. I'm shocked that someone would steal that one because I read yours and it was very moving. I messaged you about it and so did others. She couldn't possibly have topped yours and she was a "johnny come lately" so they probably won't give her any serious consideration anyway. Don't let it take the fun away.

I read it. It is good. Thank you so much for posting this. I have never even been to that site untill now. Do you get a referral or something good if someone signs up under you? Just wondering! I would love to read more of you work.

I have not read your article yet and would need to read both to compare to see if I thought you were plagerised or if someone else just had the same idea. I know if someone took my writings and put their name on it I would be really upset. But then, there really is nothing that you can do about it on a public forum. It is the chance we all take here and on other sites. I will take the time to read your article though. Where is the other one?
I tried to join AC under Charlene and had a heck of a time with it. I never did get the confirmation e-mail. I tried to resend it 3 times and I added the e-mail name into my address book as it said too. I wonder if AC would even by worth my time now.

I did not add the name of the other article or who wrote it because it would cause a lot of problem. YOu can find it under the prose in Associated Content, you will have to look for it though because there are a lot of articles that are about the same thing.

I'm not sure. Sometimes I've written articles and then someone else writes something similar. I can't be sure if they stole my idea, or if they just had the same idea.
It's odd they'd steal it for a contest where you don't even get money for sure, only if you win.
I really enjoyed your article. I know that when I get inspired by one article to write another, I'll link the one that inspired me. A lot of times, I'm inspired by a pet care article that needs vast improvements. Like one about rabbit teeth issues that just basically said that wood chews solve everything. And having worked under vets that treated rabbit dental issues and having gone to a couple seminars on the issue, I knew I could write something better. Yet I still linked.

They will have their Karma, let go and let God. That I think is the best to do when faced with this kind of characters. Have fun and may you have a great life

Try n make the discussion more engrossing. It would certainly be better than bot giving an attempt to improve it.many ppl face similar situations in office/college wen others steal their ideas.I have been robbed of my project work idea too.The fact is u have to think positively n move on in life..

Oh my goodness! I would be so mad if someone did this to me. I was on the AC forum yesterday looking around and they were talking about what they plan on doing about plagerism. I probably didn't spell that right but oh well, lol. Anyway there were some people on there complaining about how they have seen a lot of plagerism and AC said they plan to do something about it but they can't say what because they are still working on things. You should check out the forum about this and tell them on there what happened.
Also remember when you said you weren't getting any replies from the emails you sent the admin at AC? Well I have found it is best to go on the forum to let them know whatever it is you sent them an email about because I went on there about my clout level and I got a response back really fast. Good luck with this. :)

Thanks for the information. I haven't been on the forum in a while and I didn't realize that they had started a discussion about this. I am defiantly going to check this out.

I thought we had til April to get this in. I'm still working on mine. Man I don't know what I would do. You an pray that God will make them feel so miserable for stealing your work that they would confess. Believe prayers do work, even in cases like this.

I think it's pitiful that someone would cheat you on a site like AssociatedContent. BTW, is that site generally bad like that or not, because I'm thinking about joining.

It is usually a good site and I would recommend it to anyone that wanted to join. They are my favorite place to write and this has only happened to me this once. I just don;t understand why this happened. I think that if you want to join then go for it. You will love it there. I hope that I will see you around on associated content.

You are a good person to move on. That is a difficult thing to swallow especially if you are pretty sure it was stolen. How crummy...I read the article and it is very good. They may have stolen it, but they can't steal your accomplishments !! Best Wishes !!

You are awesome and thanks for reading it. I don't know why anyone would want to do this. I don't think that it ever realy occured to them that I would read it. I am going to be mad if they win the competition. If they do then You can almost bet that you will be seeing a lot of me all over their articles.
