Wow, did it rain finally. Out here in the desert in the USA, all we get is sunshine. Too much, and too much heat. Well, it rained and thundered today. I loved it, but, we lost our water and electric for a couple hours. So, I missed ya all. So, do you think I am a bit odd? :)

Not a bit odd! We need rain, where I am we get rain pretty regular, but have been in a drought for the past couple of years. When we do get a good rain, we get severe storms so we don't like those, but we need the rain. I don't like it when the power goes off, especially if it is hot and you need the air conditioner.

Glad you don't think I'm bonkers. I almost forget what rain is, and loved it inspite of no water or electric.

Not at all. As soon as the weather forecast predicts rain I put out a large pail to catch the rainwater for my houseplants.

But I don't live where you are, and all I see is sun. This is so delightful.

I can't imagine what it would be like to always have a sunny
day, we have all four seasons where I am. I drove through Arizona once and I thought it was the most beautiful place I had ever seen, it just looked magical to me. But a drive thru
is a just drive thru I guess after months and months of no
rain, I would just love to feel the rain on my face also...SS

Not all Arizona is like this. Just in my location. In the northern part, it snows.

I don't think you are odd at all. Our winter weather is finally coming to a screeching halt and spring is now here in Indiana. It rained most of the day here also. It thundered and lightening'ed here also. I don't mind the springtime weather as long as it does not hail and bring in tornadoes. We had a rough spring last year and a tornado touched down about five miles from me. Later on we got hail damage to our home and the wind knocked our basketball goal on top of our car. We had insurance claims but it sure was very scary to be here when it all happened. It knocked our power out for about 9 hours at that time also which is very scary too because we were so worried about everything we had in the refrigerator spoiling.

Wow, well I don't think I would like any of that. You poor thing. But, all we have is sun and heat, year after year. So, this was delightful, except for the no water and electric part.

I would be very happy to see rain, especially if we had not seen it in a long time. Sometimes we have droughts here so when that happens it is great to see rain so we do not run out of drinking water and can bathe and do other things. It has to be tough and hot living in the desert so you need the rain more to keep cool. You are definitely not odd.

Am glad you got some rain. I too like the thunder and lightening and down pours. Did you get a chance to dance in the rain like we try to do to celebrate the cleansing that can happen when this is the news. We too had thunder yesterday and still a bit rainy today. I realize it is a big deal in the dessert. I would hope you capture it when it does rain! We sure would and often do here.

Oh, please send me some sun. I love it and all it ever does here is rain. If we get much more of it, I shall have to grow webbed feet in order to walk as for as the shop. I can't even walk into my garden because it is all water logged and I sink into the ground and make holes in the grass. I am beginning to forget what the sun looks like. Boo, hoo!

We seem to have the opposite weather. In the summer when it is 125 degrees, will you still want it? I hate it.

Hi Margie! Remember a few weeks ago I put up the post about us having all the snowstorms? It's starting to warm up now (mid50's) and we got our first thunderstorm of the year yesterday. I love nice weather, but I really like a good thunderstorm. I don't think it's odd at all for you to like the rain. Although, until it really gets to be summertime here I'd trade you some of that warm weather for some of our mild weather. LOL!

Well hon, I guess we are lucky in Singapore. As you might already know, the weather here is hot and humid BUT we do get rainy days often enough. Why, there was a heavy downpour just yesterday in my area. :P

I would feel the same way if I lived in a desert area. I have been hearing about your 90 and 100 degree heat. I do not often wish for rain, but I would certainly miss it if we did not have it for awhile. Enjoy the fresh clean, rained on air.

ya,I dislike rain because there are too many rainy days in spring in this city. now, it is rainning. I walked to supermaket this afternoon, and it began to rain when I was still on the way. I did not take an umbrella with me, so you know what I looked like at that time.
So many cloudy days for a long time, and i need the sunshine! I wanna lie on the grassland in sunshine!

No, I don't think you are odd. LOL I used to live in Southern California, and I used to love it when it rained. Actually, I still love it when it rains. The best rain is the rain that comes after a warm summer day. My father used to think I was nuts, because I've always loved the rain.

Please excuse me this is my very first post/reply. No I don't think you are odd, I know what it's like when I can't log on to the world and hey lets face it rain is such a scarce commodity these day's. I live in Australia and in some of our outback towns there are kids 5 and 6 who have never seen the rain. I sure hope you get some more of it real soon.
