Finally...A Moment to Myself!!!

I finally got a little time alone in the house tonight. This doesn't happen very often. So, when I do ge some precious alone time I enjoy it immensly. Tonight my daughter was over at a friends house and my husband was out in the back 40 cutting wood. I cleaned the house from top to bottom and got to spend time on MyLot without any interruptions. I know it doesn't sound too exciting o some people but to me it was. It was nice to clean the house with nobody making a mess right behind me. And, it was nice to be on MyLot and not have someone asking to use the computer every 5 minutes. Do you enjoy having time alone to do whatever you want? What do like to do when you do have some time alone?

OOOOHHHH! Waterskiing?!?! It must be so nice and warm there. It's only like 45 degrees here. If it was warm enough to go water skiing here, I'd definately be out doing that myself. LOL!

When i get me time, i usually do a little bit of cleaning, come on MyLot for a while, and talk to some friend that i otherwise don't get a quiet moment to chat with. I also usually take some time to pamper myself in the bath or shower and sometimes pick up a book, I love me time, I wish i could get some soon. Glad you got time for yourself, i think it's necessary for your sanity haha.

I have to laugh about this for two reasons, first, a couple of weeks ago my mother in law took our son for the night so that my wife and i could have some mommy daddy time. LOL we sat there for a couple of minutes before we decided what to do, and were just quiet. it was that...what did we do before Daemon again? And later that night, my wife got excited when we BOTH went into the convenience store. things like that before were nothing, but now those moments are fun. But my wife is the same way as you, at night when our son is in bed and before i get home from work she enjoys her quiet time to pick up the house and play on the computer. Or just read a book without insanity raging around. Personally, I play video games after he goes to sleep. that's my quiet time release. LOL

Im glad you had some alone time for yourself. Yes its a nice feeling I agree. Some times we have to take some time out and pamper ourselves. We deserve it.

I too like having time to myself without interuptions. I find even if I explain to my family that if they keep interupting it will take me twice as long to get whatever I am trying to do done, they just don't get it. I can't say the children are any worse then the husband, either, they are all happy to interupt non-stop.If I am by myself it depends on a lot of other factors, sometimes I will take the dog for a long walk and not have to worry about stopping or moving the kids along. I might do a little gardening without having to stop and help others with whatever they are working on. Using the computer uninterupted is great, too. Sometimes, I'll even take a quick cat nap, because even as little as 15 minutes can work wonders!

I love to be alone most of the time. I guess I am a bit of a hermit. But, I would not want to be alone all the time or I would be too lonely.

I know the feeling. It is sometimes good to be alone. Although I love being with my husband and daughter, I can get more done on my own. At the moment, it is difficult to get time on the computer, let alone My Lot, because my husband is on shift work. This means he is home when I want to use the computer. PLus, my daughter uses the computer for neopets, or to do her homework. But I wouldn't want to be alone too often.

My daughter is starting to use it more too so I'm sure my time will be limited very soon by that too.

When I get alone time, I love to read books and go online. I sometimes enjoy a movie I watch just me and me. I also love to catch up on some writing and such. Sleeping is nice too but I do it more often now cause I lack sleep and I'm sick. I love alone times though they are truly nice as spending time with other people is. We all need some time for ourselves each day. I recommend we all find some time in each day to do something for us, alone just you and you and none else.

Like you, I rarely get time to myself-- I always have at least one kid with me. But when i DO get tme alone, I like to shop, read or write. I can clean with my kids around-- they don't mess things up too much. Oh, and uninterrupted Mylot time is always nice, too!

Time alone, I can't even remember what that is!! My favourite thing to do is curl up on couch watching a good movie, with a big bowl of popcorn and a glass of coke. And have absolutely no interruptions - no phone calls, no dog barking, no baby crying, no knocking on the door. These days though, any time I get usually gets spent cleaning/washing/ironing/all those boring but essential tasks.

My family is a big family so I don't have much alone time.If I have alone time, then I will have a cup of coffee for myself, and sit on the sofa to watch CD that I like very much,or listen to music and read a favoite novel, which is enough for me.heheeeeee

Ya, I think are you are really thankful for it, and I can feel your joy. I used to have a lot of time alone in the house but I was unable to appreciate it until the recent week I was at my sis place to help look after my niece for a week. Once I stepped into the house after work, my time would be spent in the room with my niece such that I am unable to have even 5 minutes of peace. She would follow me whereever I go. The only time I have for myself is only after she slept, and by then it would be midnight. I would be very drained. Luckily, its only 2 more days to go. I would regain my freedom next week and I know I would appreciate my time alone to do things I wanted to but definitely not to do housecleaning :P

I party... When everyone leaves. I get out my drum and dance all over the house. Then I listen to my hard rock music, then I run around and be as noisy as I can... Then I pass out for a nice looooong nap, then I get online and do all the stuff I never can focus on doing and get through all those petitions, and emails, as fast as I can... then I go back to partying and dancing, and then catch up on some more sleep. - DNatureofDTrain

A little bit of peace and quiet is precious and to be treasured. I like to be able to do what I like when I like, not always easy though is it. If I do get the time in the evening then I like to curl up with a good book and relax.
