Do you know of any free anti-virus software

I recommend "avg free"!!! I used Norton but avg leaves Norton in it's wake!! haha.. I also use spybot s&d with spyware blaster free!! The 3 together are in my opinion, as I have been using them for about 2 years now, exceptional!! AAAAAAAAAA +++++ rating!

i use Avast Anti-virus now!! its amazing...its an intense scanner...that doesnt let the adwares and viruses even peek 2wards ur computer!! i had norton before...but my laptop started becoming slower n slower day by day! it always showed ' no virus,adware on your computer' every tym i performed a scan!! but when i loaded the Avast A-V...it detected 3 adwares...and that too in the windowz file ((it had managed to instal itself there!) imagine the damage tht cud hav happened!! nyway....after that i havnt even looked twice at nortan!! and im very proud of avast!!^_^ try www.computeractive.co.uk u ll get hordes of free softwares from there

Hi all. My anti-virus software is kaspersky 6.0, it works very well with my computer. I downloaded it from internet around 4 months ago, with a free serial number, which can last one year, and it can also update every day with the newest viruses database, but I don't like the sound when it finds a virus and take the deleting action.

I use free AVG antivirus from grisoft. and I also use free AVG antispyware. so far, my PC is working fine and haven't encountered any issues with it. So the AVG antivirus must be good.

I would recommend 1. AVG free - http://free.grisoft.com/ 2. Avast 3. Nod32 There are plenty of free antivirus programs but these three are the best I think.

From the list of the anit virus I know AVG is the only free antivirus software. I would suggest you to download the AVG. I think it is available on www.grisoft.com

AVG offers both free and commercial versions of it.But i don't like this free stuffs.I think they may be crappy.

This can be downloaded at their own official website at www.free-av.com I have been using this software for almost two years. Since using it, I have never encountered any problems at all with regards to the overall function of my machine. I am so impressed and satisfied with its performance. It updates regularly and guess what, this can be scheduled at your most convenient time. On the other hand, it is very light on resources and does not use a lot of memory.
