Should I go to Work Tomorrow?

I have a runny nose and temperature. I feel drowsy and my head is aching. It was just yesterday that I was sneezing uncontrollably, and now it's a full-blown cold. We have system test tomorrow, and my shift has just begun. I'm already feeling sleepy, my temples throbbing. I keep blowing my nose and I feel so cold, I'm also coughing. I already took a medicine a few hours ago and I'm feeling a little better but drowsy. That medicine warns that it may cause drowsiness. Should I take coffee before I fall flat on my face at the table or should I go home and take a rest? I'll get paid cash tomorrow since it's just a system test, and i don't work on the weekend. I don't know what to do.

Oh Jackie, i am so sorry. Are you still there? Why dont you go take some rest. Rest is the best medicine for your type of sicknesses. Take your tablets on time. Drink warm water with a tint of lime/lemon plus a bit bee's honey in it. You'll feel refreshed. I dont think you should drink coffe at all. Its not very good for colds. About going to work, if you are fit enough by tomorro, think about it. That depend on the rest and commitment you show today. Good luck and take care.

you'll fall flat alright at the height of your colds. why dont you go home and take a rest as you said its just a system test, so, you can take it if youre feeling better already...

I think you have to take into consideration if others will be affected. Might the work be instead impeded if you go? Surely you would not want to get your nice colleagues into trouble if this is the case. Besides you might pass the flu to them too.
It's hard for me to advise here, so I can only offer my thoughts. Drink more water, get well soon. ;-)

I agree with lordwarwizard. I can tell you I used to go nuts when someone would come to work sick because it risked me taking the germ home to my children which for my one daughter used to mean a hospital stay. I would get plenty of sleep between now and tomorrow and see how you feel when you wake up. If you feel worse and there are a lot of nasty bugs going around here then call in and ask if someone will take notes so you can catch up on Monday then go back to bed. Hope you feel better soon.

I am a bit late on this one Jacky as I have been away but I do hope that you have not gone to work as you sound in a bad way and you would infect others also there is no way can you hold up feeling like that so I hope that you have stayed at home in your warm Bed
Love and Hugs and I hope you are better by now.

If you've got a fever, STAY HOME!! It's a sign your body needs time to "heal" and feel better. I also believe it's when you're most contagious, but I could be wrong.

Nah. Stay at home and rest. You probably won't get paid, but after a good nights sleep, you can get online and make maybe .20 here on myLot. But do what you need to that is safe and financially beneficial to you.

If you aren't feeling well, which is evident since you said you are running a temperature and you are obviously feeling bad, if you can skip I'd skip. It's best to stay home and rest instead of going to work and messing up on the job because you're not feeling well. And spreading it around at work won't help the situation either.

I think you should stay home because not only are you hurting yourself you may infect others and they won't be able to make it to work. Your health is very important and unless not going to work tomorrow will cost you your job you really shouldn't go.

Well if your as sick as you say I would suggest going to work passing your germs to your co-workers but if it isnt that bad if it was me I would grin and bare it and go to work. Not in 7 years did I ever miss a day because I was sick or could'nt make it. I cant pass up the oppritunity to work even. Anyways hope you make a decision and also hope you feel better soon.

Go home, jackie. Anyone with a bad cold is supposed to stay home. You are spreading the virus, girl. Think what havoc it can cause if it spreads good enough. Besides, the feeling we get when we have a bad cold will definitely make it impossible to work sensibly. Since you cannot be so productive anyway, get that most needed rest. The doctor will surely back you up with a recommendation to have that need for a complete bed rest. So see? You have got nothing to worry about at all.

I think because I nee dmoney at the moment I would go to work anyway tomorrow.
However it is up to you. You need to weigh up how much you need the money compared to how much you need a rest.

I kept on sneezing yesterday afternoon too while making my project in school. Now I have a cold but not that bad. Good thing I don't have classes anymore. In your case i think you're the one who can decide on that since you know more about yourself. Just rest then drink your medicine and maybe you'll get better and go to work. Drink a lot of fluids too.
