When do you find it best for you to read your Bible?
I like to read the bible in a group because it makes it easier to get other people's opinion of the passage that I'm reading however when I do read a lone I like to do it late at night before going to bed.
Which do you like early morning or late night?

I prefer to read a devotional and passage from the Bible in the morning. It really helps get my day going in the right direction. It also inspires me to do my best for the Lord throughout the day. At bedtime though is when I pray the most. It relaxes me just to talk to God and thank Him.

I read several. I like the Upper Room. But my mother in law bought us the Guidepost Devotional (yearly book) for Christmas, and I've been really enjoying it. There are lots of inspiring words in it.

I prefer to read my Bible at night when the household is quiet and I know I will not be disturbed. I also like to concentrate on the things I have done during that and say my thanks for the many wonderful things that transpired during the day. I don't just read the Bible any more I study it and underline things and look up things as I go. So I try to give some special time for me when doing this. I have read 3 different Bibles in my life time and now I am trying to actually learn the word. I don't enjoy the group discussions so much, because all people interpret the word differently. I think it was written to impress upon each of us differently depending on the lifestyle we live. What one person in a group determines a passage to say is probably true for their life, but not be true for mine.

I do see your point of view however the excitement of seeing other people's eyes open by reading with the group, that's what I enjoy about being in a Bible Study.

I am a morning person. I like to read early in the morning before the sun comes up. I like to start off the day in God's word. However, my wife is a night person and she likes reading at night for the same reason I like reading in the morning, solitude. It is nice also to read in a group as you do so that you can get other opinions on passage in the Bible or see a verse in a different light.

It's very funny because you and your wife are the exact opposites as my wife and I.
She likes to read in the morning where as I like to read at night.
Thank you for your insight.

It is best read personally early morning, so that you will avoid any distractions. Well it's ok also to read it for group discussions but I know for sure there are different views, but God chose to impressed us differently, more personal.

Like what our pastor said before, and what I also think, the best time to read the bible is early in the morning. WHen the surroundings are peaceful and your mind and body is fresh from rest. I believe that then you can read the bible, and it's the time that your mind is really clear. You can interpret the passages better when you are not worrying about anything and you are not being bothered or disturbed at all. Later in the day, you have some problems, worries and is thinking over the day and the happenings that took place then maybe you get tired and those things may affect your interpretation and may prevent you from fully understanding the passages.
Another time will be during bible studies where there are other people with whom you can share what you understand about it and you can also learn to see it from another peson's point of view.
