sweet-and-spicy cabbage

INGREDIENTS
- 1 large pear or apple
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 red onion, cut into thin wedge strips
- 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper flakes or to taste
- 1/2 small Savoy cabbage, finely shredded
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon liquid honey
- Salt
DIRECTIONS
Cut pear into quarters and core (not necessary to peel).
Thinly slice, then cut slices in half.
In a large nonstick skillet, heat oil over high heat until
almost smoking. Add pear, onion and hot pepper flakes;stir-fry for 1 minute. Add cabbage and stir-fry for
1 minute more or until wilted.
Stir in rice vinegar and honey; cook, stirring, for
30 seconds. Season with salt to taste; serve immediately.
