Do you comment on people who answer your discussions?

My mom just told me that you don't get any credit for comments made in your own post. Kind of a bummer, cuz I do that as much as I can. But I don't really care. If someone says something that I feel I wanna respond to, then I do. Also, I do it to kinda... have the last word. So when looking down my list of discussions, if I see my name as the last post, then I know I've read everyone's comment. As soon as the name is changed, then I know someone else came along, so I need to go in and read what they said. I want to make sure that anyone who ever answers my discussion will be read by me. Even if I can't think of anything to answer back, it will at least be read.

Yes, I think that it's a good idea to comment on people's responses, even if it doesn't directly increase your earnings. I sometimes check to see if people have commented on my responses, and I appreciate it when they do, because then I know they read and appreciated my response. I think if people remember that about you (which they may or may not) they are more likely to respond to your discussions, plus it's just a courtesy thing. I agree though that it's sometimes hard to think of a comment.

Also rating them too, huh? I haven't been rating anyone, cuz I didn't think about it. But one of my friends has a lower rating and I like most of her discussions, so I started rating all hers to try to help. I guess I'll start rating all the ones I read.

Yes, I like to read and rate everyone's answer in my discussions even if I don't respond to them all. Sometimes there are just too many discussions to keep up with, and I want to read some new ones too! LOL

Sometimes it's hard to come up with a comment, but I feel it's a courtesy thing, I guess. I like with people aknowledge my response in their discussions, so I try to do the same. I'm not really here for the $ anyway, cuz it sure doens't add up too fast. I just enjoy chatting about things.

You actually put in words my usual custom in handling discussion I've started. I make it my practice to respond to every person who responded to my discussion. For me, its just common courtesty to acknowledge someone who took the time to respond to my discussion when he have hundreds to choose from but have decided to pick mine. Even if its just a simple "Thank you for responding.," I still feel I have done my part. Also, just like you, I use my name as my way of keeping track posters in my discussions. If my name is still the last poster, then I do not need to check that discussion. I guess, in that manner, great minds think alike..What do you think? (LOL!)

I usually answer all of the posts in my discussions just so that they know that I have read it. If nothing else I will just say "Thank you for your response". That way they know I've read it and appreciate they're answersI know that there are quite a few discussions that I responded to that I never seem to get any answer to but thats okay because its on them.

I still try to comment on my own discussions although I know it is not paid mainly because, it allows your discussion to be on top be refreshed. See that's important. so that your discussion would be read again by other people.

I don't comment on every one, I do read them all and rate each. I try to respond to at least a few from every discussion. While it's true that you will get no direct earnings from doing this, you will find that many people are more likely to respond to your discussions if they know you read and reply to your responses. As for knowing when someone has responded to my discussions, you can set myLot to email you whenever you have a response, and then you'll never have to go searching for it again!

Some of the response to my discussions are commented on by me, ChaJud. Especially if they understand what I am talking about. But some i do not comment on because that do not require a comment.

It depends upon the response. Sometimes, it seems much necessary to comment upon the answer to calarify or to add something more. I do comment but frankly not all the times and also don't mind if others do so. This is really the scope of the subject under discussion that prolongs the discussion.

Well, I never read the rules, but that's what I was told. I have seen that comments do get paid, but I guess that's only if it's in someone else's discussion. If anyone wants to research this further and post their results in this discussion, I'd really appreciate it.

Hello dear, well making money is just not my aim for being here, I like to help my friends here and so I also do that even on mylot. People hav asked for something and I respond and if the person doesnot even hav a look over that then what's it use? Similarlly when I start any discussion I do read all the responses i receive and reply only those which I think ,I should. It's a good sigh that we want to go ahead in give respect to one and all who has spent time for us by some means or other.

Yes, I do make my comment/s. I like reading the answer to my discussions and I do learn a lot from them. So I think it is just but right to comment or at least thank them for replying.

I do comment on the answers because it's my way of acknowledging the poster. I think it would be rude not to respond. I have to admit, I don't have a comment for every single one; but I at least try to rate and thank them.

i didnt know that we dont get credit for it, but like you, i dont feel like it matters. i try to get back to some of them and respond, but i dont respond back to all of them. i wish i could, but a lot of the times, the comments are repeats of other comments, so i dont want to spend more time repeating the exact same thing i wrote to someone a few posts up. but i do go back and read what others have responded. it doesnt make sense to me why we dont get credit for our responses back...i thought this was about discussions...and i would think that going back and continuing it, would be a great way to earn more credit. for keeping the discussion alive.

sometimes i do if i do really feel the urge to do so and if it is worth commenting then why not even if it don't cost me anything.there are some things that is not needed to have an exchange "gift" because some are meant to be just FREE.
